Victor123 has a propensity for over-excitement. Probably due to his youth, and excusable enough, but an uppercase 'amazing' from such a reporter hardly qualifies as a balanced judgement of what he is describing. I shall look through Leavis for similar descriptions of the work of the great novelists, but I fear that my search for 'Middlemarch was AMAZING!' might be in vain.

What is this shite???

another European debut, and the first appearance outside of Japan (where the other 15 had been performed last April)

Why is it important where on this planet and in which country he plays certain songs? Do you think he even bothers if something is an "European debut" or not? Just curious because you seem to be very well informed about these matters...

ER posting reaches an all time low when we get to the point of ridiculing people for providing data and context

You're not old Tambach. You've still got it!

Glad you made these. Any other shows coming your way?

The piano one (2nd show) or the first one? I liked the piano version more!

So did I. But then again, the version played the first night set a pretty low bar.

Loved That Old Black Magic video! Wish I had a ticket for this tour!

I thought "All or Nothing at All" was the weakest performance on Saturday, so I was quite happy when he replaced it with this wonderful performance of "That Old Black Magic".

I don't like either of those songs, but at least "That Old Black Magic" is fun to watch. I haven't dared to listen to Triplicate yet, but "All or Nothing at All" must still be the silliest of all the standards covered.

It's been only 2 days, but I already miss the tour. Now I'm even more bummed about only being able to go to 2 more shows.

Since yesterday I had a seat a bit far away from the stage, I had the opportunity to get a better sense of the audience. Turns out, I'm not the only person who misses the intermission: in the second half of the show, there was a steady stream of people getting up to go to the restrooms (I assume that's where they went, since most came back without any drinks). I know that having an intermission changes the dynamic of the show and makes them "work" an extra 20', but it's really useful for the audience and I truly hope Bob will bring it back soon.

You're listening to a soomlos recording from this year's Stockholm-shows?
So why don't you post it here in the rare-section?

The singing and arrangements do suggest that Dylan has been influenced on his own material by the approach he brought to the standards.

No soomlos on dime yet. Europe has a bevy of great tapers and I wouldn't be surprised if several in addition to bach made it to these historic shows.
