A quick poll, will he play it?

It's been 4 years since its debut at The Royal Albert Hall in 2013!

It was played in Blackpool a couple of days before the Royal Albert Hall show, which I have a feeling is as close as it'll get geographically... would love to hear it again though.

If anything, it'll be 'Roll On Frank.'

I really didn't expect him to play it then...who knows...

My theory is: the more we discuss if Bob Dylan is going to do a certain thing or not, the less likely this specific thing is going to happen.
In this case: now, that Roll On John was mentioned, it won't get played.

If that were true he wouldn't be playing the 5 American Standard discs.

... but that was four years ago. I'd say surprises have gotten a lot less likely since then. He didn't do "Stuck Inside Of Mobile" in neither Memphis or Mobile on his last stops there, for instance, just because the song wasn't part of the regular setlist.

In the last few years, surprises were usually happening on opening nights or in unique settings (club shows, festivals), but at regular headline gig mid-tour, all you can hope for is a shake-up in the Frank section or you'll be setting yourself up for disappointment.

I'm going to this gig, but would be surprised if Bob plays it.

I'm dreading the Triplicate albums to be played in their entirety.

Bob's voice is better now than it was in 2012 so the reason he isn't going to sing it won't be because he isn't physically able to

Would be great (but not happen).

The ROJ performances in Blackpool (2013-11-24) and London (2013-11-26) were absolute highlights in the "Static-Setlist-Era" since 2013.

And by the way: I think, ROJ is the perfect closer for a Bob Dylan concert (way far better than the boring BITW arrangement, which is now used - with very less variation - since almost ten years).

I have changed my mind from a previous post, and now reckon we may hear ROJ on May 8th.

Sadly no, but he belted out a mean version of 'Early Roman Kings'.
