Geneva and Zurich are also easy for me if he announces some shows there. Haven't seen him in Switzerland or Italy!

Google translation from http://www.svd.se/bob-dylan-vantas-komma-till-stockholm-i-april/om/nobelpriset-i-litteratur-2016, in the light of Dylan not attending the Nobel Prize ceremony in December.

Quote:
But Dylan will apparently come to Stockholm in April anyway, and then it can probably get a Nobel Lecture, says Per Wästberg.

If they were told he would "come to Stockholm in April anyway", that means there's already dates for (at least some of) the shows. So - for once - they could be nice and just announce the dates already, instead of making us wait around for a couple of months

Yes, so, in April, remember when we would get dates or at least semi-solid rumours around December for Spring concerts.

Here's hoping we get some on sale times or at least good rumours next month.

So, perhaps:

March: South America or Australia

April/May: Europe

Summer: Europe

Late Summer: US

Autumn: Up In The Air

& a one-off concert(s) in December around Stockholm (if he does in fact attend), but unlikely for concerts though, but you never know these days.

on the Nobel site they also say: "More information will follow on Friday, November 18."

Thus I guess we'll get an official tour announcement on or by Friday!

No way he's going two spring tours, and very unlikely he's going to do two successive European tours again next year.

Maybe Bob already had tours scheduled in Australia for December ....

very unlikely since he usually does not tour after Thanksgiving

and – as I mentioned somewhere before – it is very unlikely that he's gonna perform some remote places. He (or his company) will try to cash in on the Nobel prize. Therefore I'm sure that he's gonna play larger venues in Europe (that's were the money is at)

Large venues + inflated prices = not selling out.

Bob Dylan invented the Rock-Star-at-large-venues-with-inflated-tickets-prices-tour in 1974.

But this isn't 1974.
It's not like he's not been here in almost a decade.
It's not like his legend grew out of all proportion since the last tour.
It's not like this will be any sort of comeback.
It's not as if normal people will care.

So, that's not an argument.

Depends what you mean by ' larger venues' .
I'm sure he'd feel better in attractive , sold out , small to medium theatres charging reasonable prices , where low light and no big screens isn't too much of an issue and policing the would be photographers and videographers is straightforward !
We certainly don't want ' remote places'. Easy to get to European cities would be just fine , and we should include Britain in Europe!
The RAH again is the biggest they should go for!

I'm hoping he has studio time booked to finish off that new album of Dylan originals so it's ready for release to coincide with the spring leg of the European tour!

"cash in on the Nobel prize" That would be the logical thing to do, but remember this is Bob Dylan! And besides, I don't think he tours for the money. He's an artist, he don't look back...

I read in an Italian newspaper that speak of two dates in Italy in May: Rome and Naples.
I hope it's true! :D

Ohhh, is that article online? I want a birthday show, for me and for Bob.
Would make sense too, geographically, to start from Scandinavia and going south. And get the nasty Nobel stuff out of the way first.

I saw something about that so I checked out easy Jet and they do indeed fly from Luton to Rome Fiumicino (FCO)

Well, it would fit in with Sweden in April. he usually starts up North, ending in the South.

Well these seem like at least slightly more than mere rumours so perhaps a real and substantial european tour is finally being negotiated and we'll hear something definite soonish.
