Is anyone on this board from the London area going to check this out? . If so could you let me know if it is worth considering visiting from Scotland (In your opinion).

We have a whole sub-forum on the topic, mother.

A few of us are going in a couple of weeks, but folks who've seen the paintings already seem to enjoy them. scottw certainly does.

The original title to the exhibit was The Untrodden Path...

I'm a little disappointed he opted for the other but what is a person to do?

I'm travelling down from Scotland in a month, so I certainly hope it's worth it!

Scroll down all the way, there are three options for the catalogue. I tried buying one yesterday, but the site wouldn't let me check out. No idea why or if that's just me... but it looks good and will be well worth getting.

I emailed them the other day. Maybe if you do the same, between you and me and whoever else, we'll get a reply on how to proceed.

I was told by someone that the books won't be ready until later in the year (which meant that the book could not be included in my order of the graphics themselves), so they might just be a few weeks away from confirming orders....grave

The book is an excellent, first class effort. Of course, the usual misdirection, one example of which as identifying Woody's Bar-B-Que as Bandero, Texas when in fact it is the Inglewood, CA location.
Other things like that, but what you'd expect. Some of the art, which he says up front, are based on photos which can be found, but I'm not going on a lengthy detective effort.
He's a magpie--collecting images, prose, poetry etc. and making his own version.

Did anyone else get the shopping bag?

In the past, Amazon has carried the books at a much lower point than the galleries. Curious to see if the same happens this time.

I didn't get the bag either. Tweeted to Halcyon Gallery: @HalcyonGallery you said my @bobdylan The Beaten Path book "comes in a natural coloured canvas bag". It didn't. Paid good $! Where's my bag?

They responded: ‏@HalcyonGallery Nov 12 @scottwarmuth1 Apologies for the mistake! please send us the order number or your address, and a canvas bag will be shipped to you!

Sent them an email. No response yet.

Though some of these were different editions than the gallery ones.

Did you ever get a reply? I didn't.

Meanwhile, my book sort of imploded - threw itself of the shelf and now the binding is torn. If anyone's interested in a damaged copy at half price, PM me.
