All the same I gotta say I think Bob made the right decision going with cold rainy texas - but this is a cool vid of prime Blob, and us gals have to stick together right?

Thanks!
Must have been a very good show, Bob seems quite relaxed.
I still prefer the Hard Rain show that was recorded a weeks later. There's more tension in it, more raging glory.

It'd been a while since i'd watched my own copy and i found this one on you tube, reasonably good quality, there are some really great parts but i too prefer the hard rain vids, somehow being outside in the rain (and knowing his own buck was riding on the results) gave that show an extra edge pushing it close to madness - with most bands it would be the opposite. glad to be of assistance, we all need a hand in times like these 8)

When he comes stepping out the darkness and does that achingly beautiful rendition of 'Just Like A Woman' - right there is something all non-Dylan fans need to see and hear.

If they still don't get it after that, well......

got me watching it again - that is just spectacular, i'd forgotten how great this is and i'm really glad to rediscover it.... still so fresh, absolute magic.

interesting how Jim 'Roger' McGuinn's guitar magically transforms from an acoustic to a rickenbacker in seconds flat..... a bizarre bit of editing. After 'Woman' i can't help feeling 'heavens door' is an anti-climax but I've never been a huge fan of that song, in fact I think the best versions I've heard were by Television, typical of the mass audience to disagree... lay lady lay however is the dirty version thank goodness. I wish there was a film of his reconstructed 'if you see her say hello' with the Saigon lines - that would be really something.

I know a lot of fans are more into 60s Bob, but personally this is my favourite time in his career. I can never get enough of this, and I love al the various videos from around this time. Since they are releasing all the basement tapes. what is to stop then putting out Dvds from the mid 70s as well.

Sorry to go slightly off topic, but does anyone have the 1990 Bob / Byrds video available?

Pretty sure it was on youtube a few months back, not sure if it's still around.

I hope they have Clearwater in pristine quality, would love an HD release in the future. I don't think there was any Clearwater footage in the Thunder on the Mountain music video unlike Hard Rain and Renaldo and Clara so who knows.

I was looking for it yesterday and it didn't come up. Under another name maybe?

*MY* Dylan.

Best Dylan ever.

It was all right, ma, back then.
Now it's just a shadow in the night.
