Is 2014 going to be the year of Bob Dylan? Bootleg Series release, several commercials, magazine covers, books........new album maybe? Another art show? Of course, touring.

I'd love to see his own notes, but it's kind of hard to imagine that. I hope it won't just be annotations regarding places, names etc mentioned in the lyrics.

It's probably wishful thinking to expect him to do annotations himself, but I can't help but imagine what that would look like. I suspect the outcome would be rather Proustian... in many senses of the word.

Not if this is official product, which it appears to be. It will come from people close to the source, if not Bob himself. Though I'd be a little surprised if he gave us full access to his book shelves and record collection.

then again, maybe Bob just is stealing back Scott's work while paying him to write it.

This book is a speculative listing, and it will probably come to naught, but I wish they would annotate the lyrics on the bobdylan.com site.

Yes, it's hard to believe it's been that long since Chronicles came out. I remember seeing it in the book store window along with Lyrics 1962-2001, which came out at the same time. Clue?
