Is there any John Wesley Harding photos of him recording the album? Like the ones inside the New Morning CD.

Doubt it. There's many Dylan albums that don't seem to have any session photos from.

From the 1960's, I know we have photos from Bob Dylan, Freewheelin', Highway 61, Nashville Skyline, and Self Portrait.

I don't know that there is none. But I've never seen any, in thousands of Dylan pics that I must have seen over the years. And I got a certain 'thing' for session photos, so I would remember.

BTW, for such a legendary occurrence (the apparent appearance of the Beatles in the bark of the tree behind the fellows in the cover shot of JWH) i have yet to see an image that confirms this

I can't see them too, I'm getting the vinyl though soon so it be clearer. But it's probably just something made up.

No, if you turn it upside down you'll see the faces of Woody Guthrie, Joe Hill, and Abraham Lincoln.

People were so high on acid in 1967 they were constructing myth out of whole cloth like the ancients gaping at the stars

Maybe so ...

For those who don't have the original LP, here's a couple of scans I made last night (click on the thumbnail links).

On the first pictures I can maybe see, Ringo and Paul or George.

On that first picture I can see George, and next to him is Darth Vader.

Actually on closer inspection what I thought was the bottom of Darth Vaders mask is in fact John Lennon looking to the left..and there's Paul next to him looking the same way! Just need to track down Ringo now. Hmmm...I may need some powerful illegal substances to help me find him.

Found him! What I thought was the left eye socket of Darth Vader's mask is in fact Ringo. So that's three Beatles side on looking left and one larger image of a Beatle looking straight forward. Right, glad that's sorted, back to work.

There's pics from Times They Are A-Changin and Bringing It All Back Home, too. The picture of him on the cover of Bootleg Series I-III is from Home.

If you turn it 45 degrees to the left, open a window and throw all your clothes out, then place Rubber Soul over the top, you can see them quite clearly.

I see what looks like Harrison just to the right of center. And what could be another face to the left though I can't make out who.
In the second I see perhaps a nose and eyes but again can't make it out.

For some reason my computer goes haywire when I click on those.
