It's a greatest hits album, without the hits. Not yet anyway.

I, too, am in a state of heightened excitement and arousal... I can't settle, I am fidgety and cannot concentrate or focus on anything else, other than Dylan's fabulous new album.

I am so excited that I have wrote songs and I am pretending that they are the songs from his new album... and I can exclusively reveal that the track Wide Berth Woman is a rollicking belter of a song.

What do you mean ? We are 100% sure that he has recorded new material , aren't we ?

Meh, you kids got to read up on the recent past. I was quoting what Bob actually said about "Love And Theft" before it came out.

It's always fun when a new Bob album is released, it's just nice to see the artifact itself.

can't wait.
have been anticipating new releases since 1981.
there's nothing quite a new dylan disk.
prefere it to a new bootleg-series issue.
the bootleg issue may or may not be better,
but i just love getting fresh output from the
man himself, rather than a good itiative from
the columbia/sony bosses

I make the bold prediction that this new album will be the best collection of new Dylan material since at least 2009.

I think you're right on the money with that prediction  . I'm really looking forward to the album dropping as well, I'll pre-order it as soon as they announce a release date. Can't wait to hear it!!!

And in case anyone is wondering about the significance of my pre-ordering Bob's new album. Let me put it this way

Things I've pre-ordered in the past......

Things I plan to pre-order in the future: Dylan's new album and anything else getting put out by Dylan.

He has a rare honor indeed, I want to hear his stuff regardless of critic's reviews or whatever. Where as just about anyone else, I await the feedback from the public before checking it out.

Oh, my, for a moment there I thought this post was going to go off in a whole other direction.... :P

Your first mistake. Don't count on them. You might end up listening to Mellencamp & Bieber.

According to my sources, Rolling Stone already has the Dylan cover/five star review ready to roll. They just need to fill in the words.

Or Wide Bertha. That was actually the nickname given to a woman who used to roam the streets of my hometown...she was enormous, vertically and horizontally, and usually didn't wear shoes. Well really, she was called "Big Bertha", and when the kids teased her, she'd ignore them. My mother would say that Bertha was a good sport because she didn't strike back, but just turned the other cheek, and my brother and his friends would say the whole town could hear it when Big Bertha turned the other cheek. One of his friends was probably a Bob Dylan fan. Bertha is not to be confused with Crazy Gracie, the English teacher who used to hide in the closet and pop out holding a sword. If anyone recognizes those two names, "Hi". But anyway, that really would be a great name for a new humor song from Mr. Dylan.

It might not be the same Bertha. Jimmy spoke about Bertha Butt, one of the Butt sisters.

I don't want the new CD to come out...my Box of Vision thing will become outdated, antiquated, depreciated and obsolesatated.

That's why the price dropped so much.

Is this discussion about the "old" new album or is there a rumour about a "newer" new album? Will we have two new albums to look forward to?
