Hope everyone that's going enjoys the shows. It is what it is. Have fun all!

I've heard you talk so much about him that I feel like I don't need to see or hear him at this point. Crazy huh?

Milkcow,
I always wondered what is the deal with Bunbury. Same with some of my friends, they absolutely adore him...
I used to like Heroes del Silencio, his band in the 80s but not much his recent work. But he is very well-respected in Spain and
he is very successful in South America as well, and sort of a cult figure for critics and music lovers.
However I must say I am not a very wise listener: I am 44 now, and didn´t really get into Dylan himself until I first saw him live two years ago... :(
I am catching up though, hopefully Cap Roig will be my 14th Dylan´ show! And the fourth for my wife

I am close to your age too. I am 39. I got into Dylan when I was 32, so I too am late to the Dylan party.

I LOVE Enrique's solo stuff much more than Hereos del Silencio. But I do love one of their songs as well... Maldito duende. Guess how I first learned about it... I heard Raphael cover it. I'm a big Raphael fan. So I bought Raphael's cd in 2001 I think and some of the songs were written by Enrique. Then I bought a cd by the colombian artist Cabas and Enrique collaborated with him. I just loved his voice and music. Then I started listening to Enrique's solos stuff and just freaking LOVE IT.

I know Bunbury is very well respected in Spain and SA. I think it's pretty sucky for the USA that the non spanish speakers have no clue about his music. They are truly missing out. He really captures the essence of rock and roll mixed with blues and country...with a freaking latin flare!!!! I LOVE THAT GUY'S MUSIC...hahaha Sorry you don't feel the same and may have been forced to read my ramble... I wish you and your wife a fun time at Bob's show.

it´s just great to read all this you are saying; it´s amazing how can anybody relate to music, no matter where the hell it comes from...

Raphael, what a character. He is a living legend, he was called the "Spanish Cliff Richard" of the 60s. He went through some health problems but has a brand
new liver transplanted and he is doing great now, just in great shape!
We will definitely enjoy Cap Roig and just learned now Bilbao as well!! Thanks Milkcow!!

Yikes! I've seen the English Cliff Richard and wasn't impressed at all. Hopefully the Spanish version is worth seeing. Have a great time regardless!

Enrique Bunbury is a great artist, a very nice person and a big Dylan fan. He has been in several of his concerts in Spain with his wife in 2004, 2006, 2008... Even when he could get VIP access, he prefers to see the concerts as any fan of GA when he can -or when people allow him- as he did in Cap Roig in 2006. He is a very discret person, but very pasionate when speaking about Dylan. Here you have one of his tributes with his band Los Chulis: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xvt2PVAUgeA

Once you are in Spain, you get them in a cash mashine with your credit card.

Yes.
I have not yet digested the fact that i'm able to spend all that money just for a Dylan show. One day, maybe, i will become an adult.
