Bob Dylan and His Band
Auditorio Telmex
Guadalajara, Mexico
Wednesday, 9 May 2012

Capacity: 11,500

The quest for a LIVE SET LIST continues as we enter the 14th show of this '2012 Never Ending Tour' leg in the fun-to-say Guadalajara, Mexico. From banking to telecommunications. What more could we really ask for? True Love Tends To Forget? Knockin' about from Mexico...

From: http://guadalajarareporter.com/expat-li ... -2012.html
Guadalajara, MEXICO - Days after McCartney’s gig, another 1960s legend comes to Guadalajara. Robert Zimmerman (better known as Bob Dylan) plays the Telmex Auditorio on Wednesday, May 9. Famous for his relentless live schedule, Dylan embarked on what became known as the “Never Ending Tour” in June 1988 and is still going to this day. It is certainly an apt moniker. Dylan played his 2,000th show of the tour in Dayton, Ohio, in October 2007.

Once heckled as a “Judas” for switching from acoustic to electric music, Dylan now plays a mix of classic and contemporary material. Recent set lists have included the anthems “Blowin’ in the Wind,” “Like a Rolling Stone,” “All Along the Watchtower,” “Ballad of a Thin Man,” “Highway 61 Revisited,” “It Ain’t Me Babe” and “Tangled Up in Blue.”

Given his current phrasing strategies, i have no doubt he could work in 'Guadalajara' instead of 'Juarez'!

Today in a Mexican restaurant, I was in a booth in the back of the place, next to a booth where some of the employees sit and fold the silverware inside napkins, etc. & two very pretty girls sitting there, chatting in Spanish. I wasn't really paying any attention to them until one of them made a call on her cell phone and during the conversation said " Bob Dylan"- I looked over then-both girls were smiling at each other, one so excited she was bouncing up and down on the seat. The one who'd been on the cell hung up and continued talking to the other one, and they would both say a few words and then go "ohhh, Dylan, uh huhhhh, Ohhh, si!" like those little approving Spanish sounds. Maybe they have a sister senorita going to a show down Mexico way. :) & they were so excited- maybe she has a front row seat.

You didn't ask? That may have become our live list connection...

It's only 7 pm in Jalisco right now.
What time does the show start?

Is it only 7 over there? My fault then. The video must have been from May 7th.

And I no idea when the show starts, thought it started almost 2 hours ago

This video is from April 30 at Buenos Aires.
We will have to wait for more half a hour.

What would be awesome is if he would open with thin man, just walk right onto the middle stage and hear the blasting intro from it.. I got my visions..

I could go for that. He really likes this Leopard thing though. Not sure why he is so attached to unwinding with that one. Maybe because it comes out like butter.

Well, we pretty much know the set list in advance these years, but there's always that Never Ending hope. Maybe a song he hasn't done in a few shows will emerge and we can get giddy.
