I had been hoping for a John Brown

So, to recap:

- One of his greatest post-religious conversion songs totally ruined. Really awful.

- One of his greatest 1960s - and thus greatest of all time- songs rendered grindlingly into a pale facsimile so utterly pointless and boring and unlistenable, ModBob might as well be a big aersoal can with 'Scents of Ballad Of A Thin Man And Cabbage Farts' written on it.

Jesus, that's some depressing shit right there.

I feel so sorry for you, Ben. It's utter beauty and dedication on Bob's part. You can see he's living to do this. Or well, I can see it.

i don't like where Thin Man is going right now, but it was very powerful for the first 2.2 years he brought it back into the setlist regularly.

the something that is happening is that bob is stretching for some novelties - but he's gotten better with his hands. he's working on the upper register - but i think that's typical for the start of the tours.

Blind Willie has maintained the nice cadence/phrasing he set up at the critics choice awards. perhaps that can take Thin Man, simple twist of fate, or Tangled's spot in the set list right now.

I love Thin Man with this eco.
It seems that he is "playing" "joking" with the all things that was written about this song.
When he was singing I could see him as an actor, as someone else, as the other himself.
Very circumspect in a verse, laughing in another... very strong.
