Here's some interesting news from a friend who have attended all the concerts in South America so far:

"After almost 9 years it seems the spoken intro is gone! It was there for the first 3 shows as normal, but in Sao Paulo there was no announcement at all. Instead lights go down & Stu appears in the shadows & plays bluse riffs for ~ 40 secs while the rest of the band & Bob take the stage.
Also the 'eye' logo is gone on the curtain.
"

Killer!! The lighting looks different too. Red or blue. Very understated.

We had no intro for a few times in summer '08. It was there at first, vanished for a few days, and came back.... no idea why.

Also, did they rearrange Levee? Sounds like a stop-start thing on ytube.

Yes, we have had some concerts without the introduction before, but I will confirm what happens on Pagel's site when I come to Buenos Aires for the 4 concers there. I'm sorry for not being able to give a live rview, but I have no mobile phone.

I'm also hoping for Bilbao, but if I can be there it must be July 19 or 21. Will at least see the 3 first German shows and the one in Bayonne!

I guess Bilbao will be on 19th or 21st. It's only 150km from Bayonne!

That's why it won't be on that day. Too close to have two gigs in two days.

I meant San Sebastian holding the concert instead of Bilbao. There were also strong rumours about San Sebastian...

Glad to hear that. :P
Logically, and hopefully, ther should be at least one or even two more dates besides Benicassim and Cap Roig.
Madrid would happily welcome him as well...

So happy for you that your travel plans worked out. Have fun in "La Reina Del Plata". We will look for your reports (with envy).

But why? Look what happened in 2008 with all the Spanish dates! (Zaragoza - Pamplona is 180km). I'm sure you're right, but I still don't understand why is it impossible for him to play Bilbao the 19th or the 21st.

Yes, but look at the schedule. I don't think they can fit in any more there, unless it is after France.

But there are 4 nights still to be filled from Montreux to Benicassim...
you think Madrid will have no chance ? It's been so long since he played here...

Going from Montreux to Bilbao will need two free days, it is over 1000 km. Even if Bob and the band take a plane, the equipment trucks will move on the road. Then Bilbao, and then another free day before he hits four shows in a row, starting with Benicassim. I hope there will be more shows, but it is rather unlikely.

It seems that Barolo tickets are gone.
