Few months ago I bought Tapatalk forum app on app store, I tried to use it with expecting rain but it didn't work.

Why don't you enable it? It's free.

It would be really useful.

Thanks

Does it format to a mobile view? That would be nice.

None of this

http://tapatalk.com/faq.php

answers any of my questions, ie . "What's the point" and previously, "What the hell is it?" and latterly "Why?"

"What the hell is it?"

It's an app for iphones and other internet-enabled phones that reformats bulletin-board style forums (like ER) in a format that is much easier to read and use on smartphones.

"What's the point"

Forums like ER were designed years before anyone imagined that they would interact through mobile phones, hence most are hard to use on mobile phones. When I get ER up on my iphone, the text is too small to read. I use pinch-zoom to make the text bigger, but I have to scroll left to right and back again to read posts. With tapatalk, everything is rendered in good size text and wrapped to fit the screen.

In fact, you don't use a browser at all to access the forum. It auotmatically logs on for you as well and includes other features such as a list of threads you have participated in. When I open the app, I get a list of the fora I am subscribed to, so I can quickly flick through different boards - much more convinient than doing the same in a mobile web browser.

"Why?"

Because it is a much better experience on the iphone and probably other smartphones as well.

Is there a smartphone app that I can get hold off for the ER forum... what I would like is that when I am on the forum and click on a new post or new meassage, instead of having to read it, the app will sing the new post... listening to ER messages being sung would add a lot more interest and enjoyment to the whole ER experience.

The Leonard Cohen files (the Len equivalent of ER) has a Tapatalk facility and it works a treat....

Now that we have enabled TouchBB, are you happy? It was relatively easy to install, according to Mad Cow. I don't know about Tapatalk.
