So Bob will go all over Europe doing the festival thing. I wonder if there will be a concentrated short US tour before the fall (akin to 2001 out west)? Clearly he will do the US-wide big sports venue tour this fall following the release of the new album in late August/September. Fall tour will begin in Seattle, end in Boston.

Yes, looks like the plan. He usually does the short US tour before the release of a new album.

Not to be a wet towel or anything, but I hope Dylan, Inc. is considering more than just Baron for security for this Mex leg. See article link from last month which specifically mentions both Guadalajara and Monterrey as having some rough edges moreso these days:
http://www.reuters.com/article/2011/02/ ... H520110209
Don't get me wrong. Two great cities. Just be careful and as streetwise as possible. Drug money can influence some weird behaviors. I totally respect Dylan for doing these shows.

I guess he will do Hop Farm as the first concert of the european-summer tour (it's announced as the only concert @ UK), do some dates in germany (like bonn at july 4th) and after that he could go down to France, Spain and Italy I think...

I've received a message saying the festival will happen between the 12 and 15 july.
That means he will be in Spain before Lyon, and then get down to Bayonne? (And to Portugal ;o)

I actually think this is ridiculous. The LAST to announce the concert dates is Bob Dylans official website. If I'm not mistaken a couple of years ago, they started to sell the tickets to the french concerts even before they were announced at the official website. I mean, can't the touring company do something about this? The problem is that one might actually want to plan where to travel to see some shows.

I've seen shows that were already sold out when they decided to announce them on the official web site...
It would be nice to have all the dates together, but in the end, it's not that important; we find a way, right?
