Nothing yet, although I'm going to see Levon Helm on the 30th and Los Lobos is opening for him. I'll ask Hildago when I see him. I'm sure he'll have the skinny. :P

Welcome to ER, Hophead.

Don't see anything about Mexico City yet but there are two new dates (in Mexico) on the upcoming dates page at the revised Bob Dylan website:

May 7th- Monterrey at Auditorio Banamex and
May 9th- Guadalajara at Auditorio TELMEX

Strange. When I posted the Monterrey and Guadalajara shows were on his website but now they aren't.
The Costa Rica one is though (May 5). So they were booked/planned but then retracted? What gives?

Any theories, fellow Bobcats?

Well, maybe someone was a little trigger happy and had to pull out. It's great that you glimpsed them though. We'll tuck that info into our back pocket for now and continue to watch it unfold. If Dylan adds more Mexico shows all the better. I'm so proud of him these days! Laughing at the naysayers, he is. And on so many levels.

I suspect that the details for the Mexican tour will be up on BD.com. From what I've noticed, they generally list bunches of shows on Fridays.

Priorities, priorities, and a dose of rationalization might do the trick.

I have already trained my backup at work so that when the US dates hit, my job will be covered. They know not to ask me to jockey my dates around when Bob's on the road (because I'll say no).

So was the earlier Lucca rumor really just about this?
(Translated from today's front page link.)

LUCCA. "One look at Bob Dylan" At the Yard Young musical evening to discover the latest Dylan It 'a Bob Dylan "different," perhaps the least known, that of maturity, the protagonist of One look at Bob Dylan (Dylan's latest: the age of disillusionment), the concert organized by the Province of Lucca along the Cultural "New Trends" for Friday, March 16th to the 20th Street Yard Young Brenner. The meeting, with free admission, is curated by Giorgio Ceccarelli Paxton and during the evening Alfredo Marasti will perform some songs of American singer-songwriter. Through Dylan's raspy voice, video material and some rare and unpublished poetry readings, the show will accompany the audience on a journey from which will emerge a new and hitherto little Dylan attended. The general public, in fact, knows all the Bob Dylan of the '60s, its history and its myths. You then have plenty of news of the Dylan of the '70s and '80s, movies, tours, the term "religious." But the production of Dylan from the 90s until today, although known in broad outline, was not analyzed in depth, beyond episodic reading reviews, or comments at the release of his latest album, Time Out of Mind 1997 to 2001, Love and Theft, Modern Times from 2006 to 2009, Together Through Life. Few are familiar from the poetry despite the hundreds of thousands of spectators who attend his concerts (about one hundred a year from 1988 onwards).

Not really. That rumour said Dylan would play the Lucca Summer Festival, possibly in June or July. This is just a tribute. Then there was that other rumour about yet another Italian festival with Umberto Eco.
We need some more European summer tour rumours, maybe something overheard in Czech Republic or that promised HMH residency in Amsterdam.

What do you mean about a promised HMH residency. I have not heard any rumours about Amsterdam this summer!

Oh, not this summer. There was some talk a couple of years ago about the Heineken Music Hall in Amsterdam being booked for some Dylan concerts in the future, but that never came about.

Moth: I know that you are tuned in and have good intuition. This brings me happiness when you say that. I feel the incredible energy too!
