anybody who had something negative to say about L&T or MT should be forced to listen to TTL for another year before getting blessed with another recording. it's under appreciated and under discussed anyway, so that should keep folks busy for awhile. let the new one go out early to the rest of us who are ready and deserving to hear it!

If my memory is correct no one knew about the sessions for recent albums until long after the fact. The people who work for Bob Dylan know how to keep a secret.

MT , TTRH and CITH are all masterpieces .
TTL is another great album and i'll never understand what everybody has against it .

I'de love to hear something more experimental. Not sure what exactly.

Or maybe an album with a different guest musician for each song? A duet with Taylor Swift perhaps? Dylan being the grandfather obviously....

Agreed.
I'm not sure about the duets, though. Dylan seems to be notoriously difficult in that regard. It's like trying to sing along with a jazz trumpet player.

If he did a duet I'd love it if he did one with B.B. King or somebody like that.

With the years advancing, the last few albums of original songs following the same formula with diminishing returns, the last few years of live work doing the same and last album a generally unlistenable collection of Christmas tunes, there's not much reason to hope for the moon. Speaking of Christmas, I feel like little Natalie Wood in "Miracle on 34th Street" repeating "I believe, I believe, it's silly, but I believe." Get me a f*cking house Bob.

After a trilogy of self produced albums, all with a strong blues theme, he can either keep on going in the same direction and risk becoming predictable, or do what he's done for the rest of his career and change gear and direction. The question is does he still have the inspiration and desire to find and start something new? To be honest, considering his age it would be pretty amazing if he did. The third alternative is to stop making albums and possibly write volume 2 of Chronicles, which is what i suspect he's doing.

Personally I'd love him to bring in a producer who can contribute a new feel to his studio work. A 2012 version of what Lanois did for him in the 90's would be perfect. It's been almost a decade and a half since he worked with a producer and in that time production techniques and styles have changed. Just don't use auto tune, Bob.
