Can the Rare Recordings section be split into two subsections: MP3 and Lossless?

Isn't it common practice to put that in the subject line?

Yes... I agree with the original posters request... it would be very helpful... but, I would like to go further... can we also the have sub-sections within the sub-sections so we can split the recordings even more helpfully. They could be split by 'continent' as well... so, for example, if I want an MP3 recording of a Berlin show I could click on the MP3 sub-section... and then click on the 'Europe' sub-section.

Additionally, how about splitting the mp3's by bitrate?

So that would be 42 sections if we include 7 continents and the 5 major levels of MP3 compression along with Lossless. Sounds good to me!

I personally would like the Rare Recordings better organized too..

But it would take a lot of time and effort to make this happen.

I would just like 2 sections. I am not very excited to about MP3s, so that would make finding recordings worth downloading easier to find.

Since many of the old links are expired, maybe just set up new sections ala A-Z going forward to be populated with new stuff?

I like mp3s and find this heirarchically snobbish attitude deeply offensive. Some of us can't afford fancy playing equipment to download and play music on and can only barely afford inferior technological devices that you high falutin' money grubbers don't get excited about. Put yourself in someone else's shoes for a minute before you rattle off demeaning posts such as this. It will be better for everyone!

You are a mod. Do some work. Put the time in. Put the effort in. You volunteered - now you gotta prove your worth, man. If you can't cut the mustard, pickle the do-nuts, for cryin' out loud.

Sheesh! Far too many around here putting their hands up when the teacher asks for prefects, but then moaning about 'time and effort'.

Not impressed at Hamilton-Smith homestead.
