Hi everyone

Unlike some people I know (who would rather hear album versions of Dylan's work) I absolutely love the way he continually reworks songs.

I'd be interested to know what your favourite and most radical reinterpretations are of songs over the years.

For me his latest versions of working man blues 2 and the 2017 version Trying to get to heaven are fairly near the top of my list.

how about you?

That's one of the major reasons to go see Bob, IMHO.
Take a look at the Fall 2017 set lists and then listen to some of those shows...lots of reworking.

Tangled, Things, Honest, Tryin, Summer, Thunder, etc. Love it!
Freshens things up under the radar on what might appear stagnant on the surface.

A bunch of them... Comes to my mind Shelter... It has been radically reworked a lot of times. And almost always I enjoyed it.

Man, how I miss this excitement! Going to a Dylan Show and not to know how it's gonna be, nor which songs he will play tonight.

Shelter from the Storm (Hard Rain)

Shouty, all over the place, sounds like it might break down into chaos at any moment, but the headwear holds it all gloriously together!

I Don't Believe you makes a nice transition from a sweet folk song to a hard rocker in 1966

The unreleased "I Want You" from the MTV Unplugged sessions is pretty sweet!
