I just read about a planet where people don't compete with one another. Whether it is just fiction, or if it is true doesn't matter so much to me. I want to live on such a planet. I very often feel that I don't fit in on this one lol

Everything they think, say and do is an effort to honor and get closer to God and his original plan for humanity.

Listen to Bob Dylan's song Gates of Eden and you will get an idea. Say what you want about him but as far as I am concerned I think he covered every aspect of the human condition on planet earth? Lol

It is vulgar to compare ones own ex girlfriends let alone a strangers, but for what is is worth - Suze was Bobs equal not to say mentor and sometime muse, Sarah was quite clearly an incomparable inspiration, and comparisons are odious - neither Suze or Sarah are odious or comparable. Joan - oh dear - I do find her odious but I won't pretend I'm beyond being wrong. She's far more 'in the past' than the other two mentioned, except in her own mind and in the sad fact that Suze isn't in Renaldo and Clara.

I've had one more thought, spurred by your comment (thank you!). Possibly, Suze was the girl of his life, and Sara the woman he loved. There's an old saying, likely paraphrased here, that one loves one's first love, and after that what we love is love itself.

"I just don't fit." "There is no sense in trying."

Yeah, that would be nice, wouldn't it? It really would be.

I'll go with Sara, Ginger, and Marcia though.
