Speaking of early NET magic, after two bottles of Ripple, those 1991 shows sound especially shitty.

Did you snatch your Ripple from the Sanford Stash?

How did you guess?! It was the same Sanford Stash Bob was swilling from before the Masters of War Grammy performance.

Hey! He's rippin off Uncle Dave Macon's banjo tricks!

That song, Take Me Back to my Old Carolina Home, incidentally, reminded me that it sounds like Bob's I shall be free.

Ha. That would make sense -- aged Ripple packs quite a punch!

Maybe this banjo tune will get this thread pointed back to the topic.
“Classic Banjo tune, ‘Sweet Corn,’ performed by
Hezekiah Urastus Anderton in 1908“
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=apmPZVTKeVU

Sweet Corn, of course, is code for cannabis.

A little weed and some nitrous balloons are an interesting way to enjoy Bob. I'm very much sober now and don't get to enjoy such chuckles.

Bob's music at its best is great while using weed or not. Any good music is. You don't need it for the music, even if you like it.

I guess (oh no, the cliche of a song) Rainy Day Women is better honestly if you're smoking or vaping weed.
I can briefly enjoy the song then. (not one of his best songs for me)

I always thought AC/DC was the perfect music to go with pot, as in it just felt right with their music; and they sounded great without it too.

When I was a younger man I got purposefuly and seriously baked and listened to blonde on blonde

Definitely heard that thin wild mercury sound - particularly on Pledging My Time and Temporary Like Achilles

Weird that i missed this thread, and strange that it's taken such a meandering route. Okay i guess not either are that bizarre.

I agree that great music works both ways.
But i find myself dropping/scratching records less frequently when sober. On the other hand, i may restart a song more often while high, and i hear/notice more things that way too.

When it comes to concert reviews however; thc is the way to go. On the other hand, when it comes to lucid grammar, straight is better.
