Can anybody provide the year (or better yet, the actual show) where the performance at the link below occurred? I'm guessing '74, '75 or '76, but I just don't know>

Sounds like Plymouth 1975 to me (10/31), although a different sounding recording than what I’ve got. Hell of a show from start to stop.

Thank you very much--gotta love the information superhighway!

I've been tracing the history of this song, and was surprised to hear Dylan perform it acoustically after he and the Band had given it such an amplified overhaul in 1966.

By any chance, does anybody happen to know if he's ever performed it acoustically since?

Yes, I know there was an acoustic version played in 1988 with G.E. Smith and more recently there was a semi-acoustic version of it in 2011 with Stu Kimball playing acoustic guitar.

^Yep, he's performed it in an acoustic arrangement many times since Rolling Thunder, but I think that was his last time performing it by himself with just an acoustic guitar.

HOW COULD YOU NOT KNOW THIS VERSION

Confirmed that it is October 30, the first Rolling Thunder Revue show at the War Memorial Auditorium in Plymouth, Massachusetts.

^Close, it’s October 31. Either way, you’re right that it’s a gig everybody should be familiar with.

Yep, as others have said, it's Plymouth.

Just thought I'd drop in to share this for those that want to listen to the whole show — https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wuV8uF4dndQ
