The latest bobdylan.com website really needs a refreshing new look, IMHO.
Actually preferred the previous yellow & red ones...
Maybe update it a bit more timely too?
Just sayin’...

Are you ready?

Remember when his website posted soundbytes from his present live show gigs? Ah, those were the days.

Now Bob is just an old washed up nostalgia act doing Tin Pan Alley shit that nobody wants to hear. What's he up to, 5 Sinatra records now? SMH.

Maybe if Bob freshened things up a bit and released some new material and started coverin his own songs again Sony might be compelled to give his website a much needed update.

Just sayin'. Lol

To say it less harsh: nostalgic stuff sells!

Woah, the Mrs. really came out of the gates for that one! I agree though, if there was new material worth checking out maybe the site would be more used/updated.

Was he a nostalgia act when he recorded As Good As I been to you and World Gone Wrong which was him looking back, and did he stop becoming a nostalgia act when he recorded his last lot of original songs alot of which had or have traditional influences in them? The typical complaint about Bobs current setlist seems to be that theres too many modern day Bob songs in the set I mean surely a real nostalgia act is the Rolling Stones or Paul McCartney who normally feature even more of their older songs than Bob currently does. Hes only a nostalgia act in your eyes because you dont like the last three albums ...Triplicate counts as one whole album.

In the last interview Bob did he actually said that this phase was finished with so nobody needs to be upset anymore, the records are there you either like them or you dont ... but Dylan fans are fickle and have a habit of moaning about something Bob recorded and then catching up and getting a strange case of amnesia later on. My moneys on that happening again because its happened so many times in the past.

At 76, Id be nostalgic myself and Id be looking back too ... hey wasnt that the beauty of Time Out of mind that it was an old man looking back ah but that was ok because Bob wrote them songs himself? Theme time was nostalgic is there a Bob fan that doesnt love them and wished hed made more? But dare to record cover songs even though youve written over 500 songs that more than compensate and your gonna be burnt at the stake for looking back.

I think Uncle Bobby is used to me by now :o He's always been a bit obsessed with what is being said about him. In Don't Look Back, he is seen reading the paper and commenting on what's being said about his performances. In the mid to late 1990s, he updated his introduction to include what one reporter had said about him.. disappearing into a haze of substance abuse only to emerge to find Jesus, etc etc. And recently the MusiCares speech, where he dropped a few bombs on people who said he croaked like a frog and even taking a shot at Merle Haggard who may have put Dylan down 50 years earlier.

Well maybe he does hold a grudge on those who say he can't sing or write..But never comment on his hair or ever touch it... He really hates that!!
