I'm loving the 2 disc version, but think I will affordably expand it with some single track iTunes purchases. If you have the bigger set what are your favorites?

Brain not functioning sharply enough to compile a top ten at the moment.

For me, Making a Liar Out of Me is my current favourite.

Disc 4 is my favourite of the whole set.

Sure, here goes (in no order):

01: Dead Man, Dead Man - Disc 4
02: Slow Train (with horns) - Disc 4
03: Making A Liar Out Of Me - Disc 4
04: Caribbean Wind - Disc 4
05: When He Returns - Disc 3
06: What Can I Do For You - Disc 6
07: Cover Down, Pray Through - Disc 5
08: When You Gonna Wake Up - Disc 5
09: I Believe In You - Disc 7
10: Ain't Gonna Go To Hell For Anybody - Disc 4

This list would change based upon the availability and access of circulating bootleg recordings to you. If those aren't easily accessible, some tracks would become more essential ("Thief On The Cross," "City of Gold" and "I Will Love Him" from Disc 3, "Yonder Comes Sin" from Disc 4, "Like A Rolling Stone" and "Maggie's Farm" from Disc 7).

First, download the "Elite Series 040" video of Toronto, 04-20-80 instead of discs 5 and 6. Pristine audio, amazing video (and yes, discs 5 and 6 are great, but it's strange the TRN compilers included the flubbed Covenant Woman and excluded Saved).

disc 3 City of Gold
disc 3 Thief on the Cross
disc 3 Pressing On (take 1) - ‘Don’t need another one of these, but I like it’s freshness and simplicity)
disc 3 When He Returns (Take 2) (simple, earnest)
disc 3 Help Me Understand (cross between Sign on the Cross and Clothes Line Saga)
disc 4 Cover Down, Pray Through (all versions are great, disc 5 and the DVD extra, too)
disc 4 Making a Liar Out of Me (you knew this already)
disc 4 Rise Again
disc 4 Slow Train (horns!)
disc 4 Dead Man, Dead Man (long outtake)
disc 4 The Groom’s Still Waiting at the Altar (different lyrics, still great, intense)
disc 4 Caribbean Wind (pedal steel) (grown on me since I now consider it a separate song entirely)
disc 7 Gotta Serve Somebody (Earl's, fresh arrangements, lyrics - Keltner hammers it home)
disc 7 I Believe in You (Earl’s, definitive version?)
disc 8 When You Gonna Wake Up? (Earl’s, dramatic like disc 1, almost funky)
DVD Abraham, Martin, and John (DVD rip)

Someone else has already said this, but the secular songs on Earl's are uninspired. I've listened to them once, and that's enough.

Thanks for the replies--there seem to be some clear favorites here--and yes I knew Makin a Liar Out of Me was bound to make the cut.
