I've never even considered it to be the window's wing, to be honest... reminds me of the "warehouse eyes" debate.
Actually, both images work very well, but I'm inclined to vote for the raven.

It's his love's wing. I didn't think it was ambiguous. She's at his window flapping her wing pathetically, God knows how long she's been there, it's getting a little embarrassing, to be honest. He tells her, "Can't you knock on the door like a normal person? You look like a damn raven out there. Do you need to see the country doctor?" She says something he can't hear, then laughs like a flower until he tells her to cut it out. Then he lets her in and fixes her a hot toddy, and when she's dried off a bit he drives her to the bus station.

On the way, while at a stop sign, their car was mobbed by a bunch of thought to be extinct pterodactyls. The poor girl / raven was almost pulled through her open car window and carried off in the claws of the hungry beasts, but our hero Dylan used all his strength to pull her back inside and floor it to the bus station.

I hope she/raven didn't thank Bob too much.

Actually, in a draft version in one of his notebooks, she's a pterodactyl herself! He took that out, but I think it's still implicit. Kind of goes with his line in "I Shall Be Free" about catching dinosaurs (and making love to Elizabeth Taylor), doesn't it? And the one in "Farewell Angelina" about the King Kong little elves.
