There's about a 1 minute ad on Bob's Facebook page with various live clips that has made me more excited than I thought!

inspite of the real heartfelt performances and the powerful band i'm no big fan of this period; although the completist in me would love to have the whole 8cd+1dvd+sandiego thing.
i think i'll have to be content with the lowbudget-2cd-version of troublenomore - but my heart will be bleeding.
so if someone wants to stimulate the religious side of me and do something for the poor:
send me a link to the whole thing and i'll donate some euros for any a religious project here in my hometown.
btw: i'm a little bit disappointed by the choices they made, because bob&band played better versions of some songs (imo) f.e. in drammen.
and of course i would have loved, if bob&entourage would have given me the chance to listen to some so called oldies, they played in 1981 with full power, which had such a religious feeling and ardent fire, that you couldn't decide if they were gospel too or not! that was and is the gospel, i like.

(and not to forget: we all here have most of the stuff in not bad sounding real bootleg versions on our hds or on cds)

ps: there are so much more interesting and more relevant things to be published in high quality than the gospel-shows. but again mr.bob didn't do what i want.)

When I try and order from Euro/Sterling site there's no option to add the extra San Diego '79 show.
Does it get added automatically there?

On the USA site, a page pops up and asks you to add the extra show for free if you want it.

So the price for the pre-order, which includes the additional 2 disk set, is $174.98 USD on BD.COM.

Does anyone know what the going US price will be (like for example on Amazon)? I am trying to figure out how much extra these additional CDs cost and also if the show represented by the extra disks is worth it.

Has anyone heard the extra disks show? Is it going to add significantly to what is being released through other outlets?

Please let me know your thoughts.

The USA site does not provide me with a prompt either. I think they just include it so long as copies remain. I guess there is no way to be sure, which is odd.

I wasn´t even aware there is a european version of the site. I ran to bobdylan.com and pre-ordered as soon as I could paying the $30+ for shipping cost

Isn't anyone else shocked at how little non-religious material is on here? For a BS that covers fall '80 and 81, there are so many incredible takes of classic songs that didn't make the cut. Thought they would push that element much more. I mean where is the killer Hard Rain from fall 81, or the abrupt cover of Here Comes the Sun? I guess the London run on the deluxe version is meant to cover this, but I am surprised they didn't feature more of the re-imagined live performances of 60s/70s material.

Not at all. They have a knack for f*cking these releases up.

Äh, sorry, but I will not pay twice as much for this box as I payed for Cutting Edge 2 years ago.

This is too much, I know were I can buy it cheaper.

The bonus will surely be bootleged as soon as possible.

Honestly, to me it doesn´t seem that expensive, given the ton of music we´ll get for our money, possibly with great sound quality, plus thick book, box, art, etc.
Heck, other than to pay the bills, it´s for stuff like this that I make money for

bob will agree with you
No, i think, you are bob, who is writing this, aren't you?
(but 1 cd/dvd with material from the 70s and 80s for about 20$ isn't expensive?)

Very disappointing that City Of Gold isn't on the reasonably priced 2 cd version. One of the best songs from the period.

But it´s not just about the CDs, it´s about the whole package, like I said above.
It´s about putting that box somewhere on a shelf and drooling at the look of it every time you pass (although in this case the cover is not so appealing, but still).
I´m very fetichist, I admit. Possibly a sucker too. And a very happy one right now

How did you react to the October 5, 1978 date for the Slow Train soundcheck. Couple months earlier than last known.
It indeed was slowwwww.

Another soundcheck from the 1978 world tour. There were already lots of them circulating, although this one is new. I uploaded a video of those soundchecks three months ago: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M6-xgPkzm2A

However, this completely disproves the theory Bob found Jesus in November 1978 in Arizona (after Tucson I believe). It just furthers the point religion is a key element in Bob's music. Very interesting. Hope the book will give us more informations.

I just ordered "Trouble no more" from the official Bob Dylan store. I did that without creating an account. But I did so after the order was confirmed and I received an email to confirm my order. I hope this won't cause any trouble?
Shipping costs ("trackable courier service") were quite high: € 28! (which makes a total amount of € 197.99)
Also when I was going through the ordering process, they didn't mention the exclusive San Diego cd. There wasn't an option to get the San Diego cd. Did I do something wrong? I hope I'll get the extra cd, because that's what made me buy "Trouble no more" from the official BD store.
