In high school I had a dream that Bob Dylan was sitting across from me on the school bus. He was my guest for the day and I was wondering what I'd do with him.

That sentence cracked me up (in a good way). Don't we all, in a way, wonder what the hell to do with Bob Dylan?

I feel like I've already "had a day" of sorts with Bob -- having been in the front row a couple of times, lucky enough to have caught a carefully wayward glance or two. Kind of feels like enough.

That said, I'd just take a day with today Bob as it came. Hang out. Chat. Or not. Ride those Gemini air waves. It would be great.

Another, more atavistic, me would take 1975 Bob and make him forget who he was.

And, finally, slave to youthful beauty me would take 1966 Bobby and just stare at him all day long.

A whole day with Bob Dylan? I guess a handshaking would be enough.

I'm half way through the audiobook "On the road with Bob Dylan", where the writer spends a couple weeks with the 1975 RTR and has several run-ins with the man himself. Sloman is great at putting you into the situation, so I almost feel like I was around Dylan and his entourage. I just met Bob's mom Beatty last night (in the book). She's visiting the tour and taking care of the kids.

Read the book or listen the audio version. It's the closest you'll get to knowing what it's like to be around Dylan.

Interesting choice...
I'd choose mid-60s or mid-70s Bob. And I'd wash his hair :P

Timetravel back to the 60ties and my carefree life as a hippie girl would be something out of this world but I'd let him wash his hair himself :P
