I fully intended on giving her my CD copy of Biograph,
but at the last minute decided i'd try and put 2 or 3 songs
from each studio album, and the odd none album track.
I'm sure i probably haven't put together the greatest list
that could be chose, but i picked the songs that stood
out to me at the time of compiling, maybe on a different
day i'd have picked other songs. All the below tracks i
copied and numbered into a folder and gave her a USB
I purposely haven't included live songs, a decision i regret
now but it's done now.

Like A Rolling Stone
Ballad Of A Thin Man
Queen Jane Approximately
One Of Us Must Know
Visions Of Johanna
Stuck Inside A Mobile
The Wicked Messenger
The Ballad Of Frankie Lee & Judas Priest
Tell Me It Isn't True
I Threw It All Away
The Man In Me
Day Of The Locusts
Sign On The Window
Watching The Riverflow
Days Of 49
Lily Of The West
George Jackson (band version)
Billy 4
Main Title Theme
Hazel
Going Going Gone
Dirge
Tangled Up In Blue
Idiot Wind
You're A Big Girl Now
Hurricane
One More Cup Of Coffee
Isis
Changing Of The Guards
Senor
Precious Angel
When He Returns
I Believe In You [had to, what with Neil Young having a track by the same name]
Covenant Woman
What Can I Do For You
In The Summertime
Shot Of Love
Every Grain Of Sand
Jokerman
I And I
License To Kill
Trust Yourself
Seeing The Real You At Last
Tight Connection To My Heart
Under Your Spell
Brownsville Girl
Silvio
Death Is Not The End
Tweeter & The Monkey Man
Most Of The Time
Shooting Star
Man In The Long Black Coat
Dignity [Greatest Hits 3 Version)
Series Of Dreams (Bootleg Series 61-91)
Under A Red Sky
God Knows
Born In Time
Hard Times
Lone Pilgrim
Standing In The Doorway
Lovesick
Trying To Get To Heaven
Things Have Changed
Mississippi
Sugar Baby
Tell 'Ol Bill (TTS version)
Someday Baby
Ain't Talkin
Do You Hear What I Hear (first heard this on the first Gremlins movie as a kid so had to add Dylan's cover)
Jolene
Forgetful Heart
Pay In Blood
Scarlet Town
Tin Angel
I'm A Fool To Want You
Maybe You'll Be There
Stardust

She will listen to all of these so i hope it goes someway to being
some kind of introduction beyond the 60s folk singer music that she
dislikes. I'll let you know if she enjoys any of the tracks and if so,
which ones. I'd ideally like her to enjoy all of them but who knows.

That's a whole lotta songs for the uninitiated. I would have just given her:

Don't Think Twice
The Times
Like a Rolling Stone
Lay Lady Lay
Forever Young
Tangled Up in Blue
Hurricane
Every Grain of Sand
Ring Them Bells
Mississippi

Short and sweet. If they don't like those, they have no hope.

That does look like a pretty amazing playlist.

She's already heard a few tracks, but is going to give the compilation
her full attention this weekend.
She said she will give me a few notes on every single song.
I really wouldn't expect her to do notes for every one of the songs
because its a lengthy list, but if anyone wants to read what she thinks,
i already have her permission to share it with everyone.
Thing is, i don't use a smartphone, i went to lengths to get myself
a refurbished Nokia 3310, i do have an Android phone but i like
to be online when i choose, and that's usually in the evenings only,
reason i say this, is i'll have to type out what she text's me so
if anyone is genuinely interested in what a new comer to Dylans
work makes of that list i did for her, i'll post her notes when she's
sent them.

I agree greatest hits volume 3 is a good start... also I would definitely include Changing of the Gaurds and Just Like A Woman.

She's converted to the wonderful world of Dylan.
From the tracks she liked the most she'll be checking out Street Legal, Infidels, Blood On The Tracks,
and Time Out Of Mind (she refers to this as the album with 'his old man's voice').
Id have given her my CDs but she's a music streamer so i think she's checking
the albums out on Spotify or Deezer or whatever site she uses.

1) Please inform her about the hyphen
2) Apart from Infidels, she seems to have great taste
