I can't imagine how good this would be live if he ever remembered the words. It's good even when he doesn't.

Sounds like Portsmouth 2000 (second night, September 25) but I've never seen the video so I'm not positive

Was lucky enough to be in San Sebastián in 2015 when he debuted the Shadows version. It blew my socks off...

I'll nominate this as the greatest Bob video of all time. Bob is so angry at someone here and god knows why, but it's like a masterclass in pissed-off acting.

I think the story or thought was that Bob couldn't hear himself. Like something was wrong with his monitors.

That makes sense... I'm really getting into cheesed-off Bob videos. Do you know which gig this was?

Not off the top of my head --- but it seems like we had a thread on this video? Or at least some discussions about it in another thread...

It's from Liverpool 2001 Anr. Here's a better quality video too (without that blue haze)

I guess he looked a little angry but it didn't seem that bad to me. Other then those few seconds. I'm sure he was pissed as all hell though. I was more curious about his guitar playing. Though I think the performance was solid, his guitar sticks out like a sore thumb, does it not? sometimes I think that style of playing is very affective for him, other times, like here, it is not, and kind of takes away from the song...for me anyway. I know this is nothing new, just found it particularly noticeable here. Good singing though!

That little shrug after "when you're trying to be so quiet" speaks volumes, though. "WTF is going on? Oh, yeah, it's the sh%tty equipment of this rinky-dink two-bit nightclub. Don't they know who I am?."
I'd love to know what he's shouting at 2:46 ("Start the car, Stu"). Enough to make him flub the Mona Lisa line of the song (and we all agree that's what makes the song great. He almost says "aaw, f%ck it".)

Personally, I love his guitar playing here. So irreverent (in a punk way). Just noodling along with the tune in his head. Makes me wish he'd pick up the guitar on stage again. I mean, he could sit and play for crying out loud!

I love how all the videos have "Nobel" in the title now. Like these putzes are making millions off their clickbait...
