Remarks:
- RAH dates are still uncertain, please see the bstacy's entry above
- RAH: Mr. Tambourine Man - it sounds like the venue is still empty, it looks like the RAH to me
- Sheffield, Birmingham and Newcastle: Not sure if it's backstage or a hotel room in some cases

The special feature "Pennebaker and Neuwirth" contains a very short Guitar Riff from the Savoy (26:08), don't know if it's shown elswhere. It also contains two snippets of "Ballad Of A Thin Man" from 1966, most likely form Eat The Document or an outake (15:36; 17:19) which I cannot assign to a venue.

Please feel free to correct me.

PS: Sorry for not being able to layout the list more readable.

Thanks for the listing of musical performances. It, plus your other lists in this thread, and the ones by neonblues give us some thorough (& useful) summaries of the music and non-music scenes on film circulating from that tour. I'm still having a close look and listen to all the film sources. I hope others will too. Everyone's comments and other info - especially on the date-place attributions - are welcomed here. It might be good to collect as much information and input as possible in this discussion before a "master list of it all with updated attributions" is compiled. Great work so far!

Here's one comment.

Yes, definitely RAH. Based on observations about the microphone cords there, I'd agree, it's May 9th. RAH is a very large hall with booming echoic sound characteristics, anyway, and I think it tends to sound that way empty or filled. Even in some of the Dylan line recordings from there, especially the ones from 1966, there's a noticeable boominess to them. This clip in Snapshots isn't the soundcheck because all the house are lights off and the spots are on. It is film from the concert synched to an audience recording (not a line recording). It matches up to the audience tape of the RAH concert performance, which is apparently the same recording as the Live 1965 download file #113 of Mr Tambourine Man - Royal Albert Hall, May 9, 1965.

Thanks again, bstacy.

And now another question:

I just stumbled upon a song I downloaded a while ago. This song is called "All I've want is all I got" and is attributed to the RAH 9th or 10th May, Green Room.
This might be or might be not the case. Does anybody know about this one?

I'm looking at the video for this (if it's the same one) & it's an onstage soundcheck, no? Excellent work, btw.

Not a soundcheck, it's just some guitar strumming an two or three lines of the song, it lasts only a few seconds, but it's clearly SBTM.
It's 8:31 so I think it's right before the second half of the concerts starts.

btw: I took the time marks from the new "criterion collection", using VLC on my computer. Other releases may vary a bit, due to different lengths of the lead ins.

This is a different clip, it's taken onstage with Neuwirth walking around in front of it. Dylan sings the first verse of the song then walks offstage back to the dressing room. The clip runs to around 01.03.

I should have paid more attention to your opening statement:

By now, a year and a half later, everyone has had time to get the know the concerts included in this download.

Tell us what you think. Do participate in the poll:

Two questions:

1) In addition to the Sheffield / Newcastle mix-up, is 1965-12-04 Berkeley also mislabeled in this set, and has actually been 1965-12-12 San Jose all this time? That's the impression I'm getting from the notes at the bottom of this SFAG page, and Bjorner also lists it this way:

http://www.searchingforagem.com/2010s/2 ... hAnniv.htm
http://www.bjorner.com/DSN00785%20(65).htm#_1218

2) Has anything new circulated since this was released? I seem to remember glancing over a couple topics about newly surfaced late 1965 show(s). But maybe they were just the Allen Ginsberg tapes only accessible at Stanford?

Thanks.

As far as I understood things, you're right:

Wheras San Francisco has not been circulated at all, the electric set of San Josè, formerly known as Berkeley, did for a long while (Not only as part of 65 collection). So the acoustic part of SJ is knew to collectors.

Thanks. So to summarize (and correct me if I'm wrong), anyone after this collection should be aware:

*Real Sheffield* = first seven Newcastle download files (#76 - #82) + final eight files in the Sheffield file set (#23 - #30]
*Real Newcastle* = first seven Sheffield download files (#16 - #22) + final eight files in the Newcastle file set (#83 - #90)

#181-#184: 1965-10-29: Back Bay Theater, (Boston, MA) is actually 1965-11-26: Arie Crown Theater, McCormick Place (Chicago, IL)
#200-#208: 1965-12-04: Berkeley Community Theatre (Berkeley, CA) is actually 1965-12-12: Civic Auditorium (San Jose, CA)

#200-#208: The 50th Anniversary Collection only contains the electric half. The full concert recording from Allen Ginsberg surfaced and circulated after this release. The 50th Anniversary Collection release is from the same source.

1965-12-11: Masonic Memorial Temple (San Francisco, CA) is a complete recording from Allen Ginsberg, and surfaced / circulated after this Anniversary Collection was released.
