there is an excellent Love Minus Zero from the Savoy you need to check out, it's got my all-time favorite guitar riff from Bob (the beautiful interlude he plays).

Hmmm. I just tried to confirm this but the files are confusing. So this may be a mistake. I'll try to clean up and reply later.

Thanks.

there's footage of it, it's on the No Direction Home dvd outtakes.
it's probably out there on youku or dailymotion if you search.
or you can hunt down the Dont Look Back outtakes (audio) boot on tangledupintorrents.

and no problem lowgen, i have a personal stake in this haha (if you see what i mean).

Does this mean that the audience recording that we have is from a different show?

The most exciting thing about this, as far as I'm concerned, is the increasing likelihood that they'll do the same for 1966.

I do hope the 1966 thing will be a physical product. What would they even sell you to earn the free download, given the '66 studio sessions are out now?

For those who missed it while downloading this gift, here is the artwork. I thought we would get a yellow stamp, but that light blue is great too :D

They could offer it as a bonus for something unrelated I guess. The Blood on the Tracks sessions they have been promising, for example. But they did hint at a live set for an upcoming bootleg series, so maybe they will do a comprehensive 66 tour box set with all the concert recordings. If they included Eat the Document and what ever odds and ends that are still kicking around from that year, that might be enough to draw fans in even though they already have a '66 concert.

Unfortunately yes. I copied it when my order was confirmed, and there are no trace of a bigger version. Sorry.

No apologies necessary.

Sucks that Sony did that. Thanks for posting, though.

Could someone just tidy something up for me? Were all these recordings done officially by Columbia or are there any audience recordings in the collection? I would have expected any 'new' releases to have been of better quality than than the originals already in circulation.

Most of the electric concerts are audience recording, like Berkeley, forrest hills and Bushnell. The soundboard are the british one mostly and Hollywood Bowl plus Newport.

Someone made one that looks almost identical in higher quality and posted it on Steve hoffman forum.

Using the small official artwork from the Sony order page as a template I created this file that is an exact reconstruction in higher resolution:

Not exactly the same color in my opinion but still a great job. Thank you
