As long as BS 13 makes it out, I'll be fine. Until he gets to the '80s and the NET years I don't have much excitement building for these.

Glad to hear they're going to be folding Blood on the Tracks into Desire and the Rolling Thunder Revue. This sounds much more enticing to me then just receiving a complete Blood on the Tracks sessions release.

The Bootleg Series Vol. 14: Troubadour Blues 1974-1976. Looking forward to it!

Criminal that much of the NET doesn't appear to have been preserved properly.

May have been discussed, but am just now reading the RS article.

I wonder if there is outtake footage of R & C and not just concert footage.

Seems likely that the next bootleg series will be Blood On The Tracks, Desire, and the Rolling Thunder Revue. If the format is similar to 13, there will be a few discs of outtakes, a few discs of various live recordings from the Rolling Thunder Revue, a few full shows, and this Rolling Thunder Revue documentary.

Probably we will see
-Lily, Rosemary and The Jack of Hearts from New York Sessions
-Original take of Hurricane'
-Another take of Up To Me
-Songs we don't know about from Minneapolis Sessions
-Alternate take of Rita May

Am I far off?

Can they release this without getting into legal hot water?

I think the most interesting thing they have in the vaults from that era is the unknown, uncirculating and "very different" solo version of "Blood On The Tracks".

I don’t believe them. I’m sure their two-track DAT tapes are perfectly good and can be mixed with audience tapes to create highly releasable new masters. I bet they have 99% of full NET shows in uncirculated quality! Soundboard real-time bounces are usually fine and great. In fact, sometimes they’re better than fussy post-produced multitrack mixes.

Part of the directive of the NET, from the way Bob has described it in Chronicles and elsewhere, was a back-to-basics approach, and that may have involved a “no recording rigs” policy, so Bob could stay in the headspace he wanted. But still, it’s a near certainty to me that there exists a vast collection of soundboards and multitracks firmly under lock and key.

And I’ll add: I think the biggest factor in their resistance to releasing NET material is Bob’s vocal delivery during the era. Some of it is nearly unlistenable to most listeners.

With ya there Dioso.
Hey, in the early web years Dylan, Inc. was posting certain selections on the Dylan, Inc. website.
Of course they exist. We will eventually see just how well preserved it is.

Volumes 11-13 have raised the bar, and I don’t see it getting lowered again.

No doubt.
As long as it’s profitable, that’s where it will continue to go.
What a treasure-trove. I’m happy to stay on the Dylan, Inc. tithing list as long as they keep delivering high quality career retrospectives about Bob.

Not sure about the Utra/Mega/Super Deluxe/Behemoth sets that this may spur, but so far, so good!

Loving these last several releases.
Most difficult challenge is finding slots of uninterrupted time!
And now ‘67 Copyright & BS 14 breathing down our backs.
Gotta keep on keepin on.

that plus finding 500 bucks to pay for the Cutting edge complete! Heck, even the 6 CD is above 200. Not sure I´ll ever get those. Even I have my limitations when it comes to irrational musical purchases...

You can pick up the cutting edge 6cd on ebay for $60 these days! https://www.ebay.com/itm/Bob-Dylan-The- ... Swa0VZ8spY

Also time for my annual request for the '75 Rolling Thunder Revue rehearsals at SIR studios to be released with that era's bootleg series. You can hear glimpses of what they played in Renaldo & Clara. Kaw-liga, Sad Eyed Lady, I Want You, One Too Many Mornings, the list of gems from those sessions goes on!

Thanks, Gibson. 2nd hand, I guess? I think that might be the only way I will ever get this. I would prefer new, but new is probably not an option....

Will do, chief! Will let pass a few months, though, to avoid an intimidating raise of eyebrow from the wife, since I just spent a significant amount of money on another Deluxe Dylan box set

I'd be wary of those two eBay listings. They both seem to come from China. A lot of bootleg/unofficial reprints come from China.

Good point! I only had a quick scan on ebay, but thisisjohn is right, they do look a little suspect. It's worth doing due diligence, because there are plenty of genuine bargains out there too.

The 6-cd Cutting Edge is only $103 on Amazon right now, new, and has never been north of $200. Used copies there are below $70.
