I think one album of Christmas songs from Bob is more than enough.

In the unlikely event that he did do a second album he could do a lot worse than cover this song by Alex Chilton

I guess nobody really wqants to have Vol. 2 . I' d rather see a new album of originals any time.
On the other hand i would love to hear Bob singing Silent Night, including one verse in the original, german version. I mean, he sang in latin in Vol.1 after all...

I nominate that for a Nobel prize - the understatement of the year!

Use this as an excuse to cover John Lennon with Merry Christmas (War Is Over)

I do wish he would record another Christmas LP with his new Sinatra voice. I love CITH but his vocals are too ragged on that one. It sounds good on TTL but he needs the sweet voice for the holiday classics.

From the front page of Expecting Rain this morning is a story concerning tapes of an unreleased Christmas In the Heart, Volume ll. It is difficult to imagine better news than that. With the rumored, soon to be released Official Bootleg Series Volume 13 - Gospel era music, can there be anyone on the planet who doubts the existence of a loving God?

I think it should include Christmas songs previously recorded by Frank Sinatra - a sort of companion CD to Triplicate that could be Part 4 of my coaster set!

Maybe that studio time in Ireland in April was Bob recording remake of Fairytale of New York with Shane reprising his part and Bob taking on the Kirsty bits.

I'm Gettin' Nuttin' for Christmas--Shirley Temple's version.

He should update the lyrics:

"I spilled some Jack on Donny's rug,
I made Stu Kimball eat a bug..."

With all that's going on right now, I had forgotten Christmas In the Heart existed so now I am playing the good songs from Christmas In the Heart- Winter Wonderland, Christmas Blues and Must Be Santa

After five albums of excretion - Greil Marcus, what was Self-Portrait like? can you come again, please? - should he publish another Christmas Album, I would not only doubt God's existence, but I would definitely become a convinced atheist.

It's only August for Marx's sake. I refuse to contribute to any Yuletide themed Threads.

Thank heavens, not going to happen. That assurance just bettered my day by some measure.

I don't understand how anyone could say that. If anything, Christmas In the Heart, Volume ll would serve as all the confirmation anyone would ever need for the existence of a loving and generous God.

Would I appear greedy if I asked that it be a double album?

Greedy?
No.

You might appear, accordingly:

1 - A funny, clever guy who likes a good joke and has lots of fun in clever forums like RMD actually is.
2 - A troll who cares and knows about music as much as I care and know about carburators

(i tend to believe you're n.1; but sometimes, though .....)
:)
