An interesting selection... And I'm assuming number 9 is the re-recorded set using his current touring band! That would certainly bring some Christmas joy!!! :D

I think an album of holiday originals penned by Bob himself would be incredible and a suitable follow up to Christmas In the Heart ... of course, there should be a bonus CD including the most popular songs listed in the poll above. 8)

I love CITH, but you can have too much of a good thing, so no second Xmas album please.

I do not agree with this in the least...

Too much Bob?

Too much Christmas In the Heart ?

Too much Never Ending Tour?

Not possible.

If there is a Christmas In the Heart Volume 2, Leonard like all free people has the option to skip it. This is not what I would do. I'm just looking out for the welfare of the poor sad misguided Leonard. :D

Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree

I voted for this one because it is one of the happiest and most frolicking Christmas songs ever, it is not a Christmas Carol it is a Christmas song big difference, and I would like to see if the great Bob Dylan can do it as good or better than the little 13 year old Brenda Lee did in 1958. Many people have tried and no-one has improved upon it yet. Were Bob to sing a better version I will be impressed!

Good point about the distinction between Christmas carols and Christmas songs. I generally prefer carols, but one of the most beautiful, and melancholy, Christmas songs, is "Holly Leaves and Christmas Trees" as recorded by Elvis. Don't think Bob could improve on it, but would like to hear him give it a go.

Cheers,

Don

I wonder what the chances are that the recent break between legs of the wondrously divine Never Ending Tour might be to accommodate putting the final touches on the much desired Christmas In the Heart - Volume ll for a holiday release...

We can certainly hope, can't we?! 8)

I've said it before and I'll say it again, I would love to hear Bob sing 'blue Christmas', I think it's suit his voice perfectly - so if that could find it's way onto vol.2 that'd be great :o

I'm not sure air dropping Bob Dylan Christmas music on IS terrorists is the answer, Hoss. Might backfire, if you follow me.

This may be an excellent choice but who to share the duet? That's the question.

Maybe Alicia Keys... I hear he's been looking for her.

Most certainly Silent Night. I've read there's an outtake of Silent Night during the Infidels sessions. I wonder whether he attempted but eventually declined the song during the Christmas sessions also?

^Back in the mid-80s he recorded a couple Christmas carols that I've never seen released but I've never read of anything else being worked on or recorded during these sessions. A wonderfully loving surprise it would be if we were surprised with Christmas In the Heart, Volume ll in place of the Official Bootleg Series, Vol. 12.

Joyful, joyful, we adore thee... That would be echoing across the world in celebration of such wondrous news!

Maybe we could get both! Then we could blast both through the speakers at the terrorists. Surely they would lay down their arms.

Would be better if he did: "Ride On"

in the voice of 'Christmas In The Heart"

It's that time of year again. I'm hoping the season puts Bob in a merry mood and back into the studio to record Volume 2 for Christmas In the Heart... The Bonus Edition could include Chronicles Volume 2 while he's at it.

THAT would make a Merry Christmas!

If the sequel is as sickly as the first one, there's only one title it can have:

Nog On Nog
