Considering that Christmas In the Heart has been such an incredible album and there is so many more holiday songs unrecorded by Bob, it only makes sense that a Volume 2 should be forthcoming. And it would be another opportunity for us to support a cause that is important to Bob.

That said, what songs would you like to see included in Christmas In the Heart, Volume ll?

If he were to record another Xmas album I would hope he might attempt to write a few tunes himself. That, at least, would make any royalty payments to charities far more significant.

Anyway, I'm voting for other seeing as you missed out Fairytale of New York. He could do it as a duet with Joni Mitchell, I'm sure she'd love to spit out those lyrics at him.

And 'Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire' as you call it, he already did that one too. Are you hoping for a better version?

Oops. Sorry... Maybe he has an alternate version for the Deluxe Edition?

A better version? Everything on Christmas In the Heart is absolutely perfect ranking among the very best studio work Bob has ever released. It doesn't get any better.

As for the duplicates... I had this list done when my new puppy jumped up to help and she hit the "Backspace" key and I lost everything. So I started over with a copy and past but missed some in the editing. And of course, I realize I missed several holiday favorites like Zat you, Santa Claus and Run, Run, Rudolph, among others.

By all appearances, it looks like he will need to do a Christmas In the Heart, Volume lll as well. :D :D

Even though Christmas In the Heart doesn't need any updating, I voted "other" because i heard this song today while out and about, and really would love to hear a Bob version. Elvis had a version of it too

to make a cd with Sardinian or Sicilian Good-Friday-songs together with local artists would fit better to a man with a blues-feeling like him (I can't imagine it right now, but Bob surprises us again and again)

I can't believe I forgot that one... with Bob's voice and His Band, You're A Mean One, Mr. Grinch would be astounding!

I'd like to hear him take a crack at Chuck Berry's: Run, Run Rudolph.

Keith Richards did a great cover of many years ago.

Ah UP, your love for 'Christmas in the Heart' is awesome and knows no bounds. :o

I'd love to hear Bobby sing 'Blue Christmas' - for anyone looking for a damn good version, and also a damn good christmas album, aside from CITH, check out Bright Eyes' christmas effort, it's pretty incredible.

I'd like to see him make virtually any other kind of album than another Christmas album.

:grin:Even people who like it might be willing to accept one's enough.
I'd like a running commentary of Bob doing some gate welding. Could even be Christmas themed gates.

Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree

I voted for this one because it is one of the happiest and most frolicking Christmas songs ever, it is not a Christmas Carol it is a Christmas song big difference, and I would like to see if the great Bob Dylan can do it as good or better than the little 13 year old Brenda Lee did in 1958. Many people have tried and no-one has improved upon it yet. Were Bob to sing a better version I will be impressed!
