Lotsa great music...the sequencing is a little strange at the end, I'd have cut some earlier stuff and made room to cover the last 30 years a bit more expansively. I'm sure anyone who buys it will enjoy it.

Thanks for this, esp. the link! This is good information!

Looks like most of these tracks are from Greatest Hits, Vol. 2 & Biograph, both of which I already have on vinyl, so I'll skip this one, but it's nice to finally see a decent RSD release from His Bobness.

The Grateful Dead & Stiff singles releases look like must-haves. If you're in Pittsburgh, stay outta my way when I go for those!

That's quite fantastic, esp disc 3.

Of course, I agree that it is unbalanced, and that there should have been more selections from the '90s and '00s.

Looks like rehashed Biograph, although my vinyl probably isn't numbered and limited. However, it's a great example of state of the art box set art circa 1985. Plus it has the scintillating Cameron Crowe essay and a few dozen off-the-wall quotations from Dylan hisself.

I would only buy this for Things Have Changed. I'm looking forward to the Billy Bragg and Wilco on vinyl, though I already own vol. 1

Looks like a must-buy for me. The extra tracks on GREATEST HITS 2 are personal faves, and its great to have them collected with other non-album tracks on vinyl.

One of my biggest annoyances is the random scattershot way that Dylan outtake/single/live tracks have been released.......some on BIOGRAPH, a few on MASTERPIECES, a bonus track exclusive to a Itunes download.....the BOOTLEG SERIES has mostly rectified this with solid collections of studio outtakes or live shows, but it's still a constant piecemeal process where tracks from the same era/album/sessions are scattered across several releases instead of being concentrated in one release. For instance, I'd love to have that entire Dylan-Traum acoustic (from whuch I Shall Be Released and You Aint Going Nowhere came) all collected on one album.

^ I agree with you Keith - I am very excited for this release,
and I'll need to look up records stores near Southborough, MA this year as I will be out of town

I think Newberry Comics will be an option, can you confirm this BostonABF?

can't wait to see the packaging too.

Which "Down in the Flood" do you think? The M&A "Cold Irons Bound" in full analog glory woulda made this even sweeter.

Do the stores mentioned ship these LPs or is RSD in-person collection only?

Of course, nobody can speak for every record store, but the idea is that it's in person. The very purpose of Record Store Day is to get people in the store.

Strictly Discs is wonderful. I've ordered from there several times on Record Store Day and Black Friday. Some of aren't fortunate to have a record store anywhere near us. We are still supporting small record stores and not Big Box Stores.

Correct me if I'm mistaken, but this is to be the first George Jackson release since it's original release right?

All I've got in my collection is the outstanding J P Robinson version.

Does anyone know if this is being released internationally on Friday? As Black Friday is a specifically American event I'd like some clarification as to whether this is going to be available at my local record shop or not before I make the trip out.

You can order it at amazon.de per example and they don't say it is an import.

Black Friday is an international event. You can find the participating countries here: http://www.recordstoreday.com/Venues?country=select

I hope you live in a "Black Friday country". Of course I don't know if all shops in all countries sell all the special released albums.
