I was just thinking about this today. I wonder which of the homeless people in the Blind Willie part that he looks at from the bus are really homeless. Especially that big guy that looks like a king sitting up with the big sunglasses. :?

Good one. Of course, the big guy is Masked and Anonymous director Larry Charles. Word is he's worth 100 million dollars. I doubt that he is homeless.

it's a horrible film, Bob sucks as an actor, etc, etc

...now with that established, I wonder how that German bluray looks.

This thing ought to get a deluxe treatment, with the full soundstage performance
and all Bob's favorite scenes restored.

Also- this made me laugh (trigger warning):

Maybe its the fear that it would taint his own personal image of bob. I like it, if for nothing more than curiosity. Some of the actors though, great actors here, they must have realized early on that, bob can't act for shit. Dosent bother me though, like pennebaker im just fascinated watching bob Dylan.

Confused much Mr. Drifter???

He can't act for shit but yet you're just fascinated watching him?

Which one is it?

At least you got your name right - driftin in the breeze - lost to the world!

M&A is a terrific movie, very Fellini-like and odd, but a minor classic for sure.

And now that we are entering the full blown terrorist era, we see that Mr. Dylan was quite accurate i his
sad prediction of the direction America was headed. As always, Bob Dylan was WAY ahead of his times, and we sadly see right here, way ahead of even his fans.

I dont see any contradiction there. Actually, I would think most ERers would agree with that

I'm fond of it too. I don't know if everything he recorded for the soundtrack
got released, be interested to know if he recorded more.
Although Dylan's not a great actor, he's got this strange aura that makes him
very watchable. Plus, he's so so cool in it, add to that Goodman, Kilmer and
Rourke and its a winner.

The whole movie was a cringe fest. Happily I got to see that one by myself on its last day in the theater and even then I was shrinking down in my seat. Dylan was a cigar store Indian. Fascinating? I guess so, in the same way as a train wreck.

If Hollywood has ever released a more wonderful film, I've not seen it. Masked & Anonymous has everything one could ever wish for in a movie... Dylan playing music with perhaps the finest line-up he's ever had and it fits the movie to a "T". The storyline is fascinating and yields elements of the past with an eye to the future. The acting is fine and there are numerous thought provoking moments and lines. What else could a person ask for?

Aye, but there were no explosions or car-chases. Neither were there any super-heroes.

I don't understand why people are so down on this

Sure helps me better deal with what's happening across America

And there are amazing performances - including all of his, despite his 2012 rolling stone remarks
