The performances in the early 2000's of this song were magical. Of course, the '66 version and the duet with Johnny Cash are fantastic. I wish he'd bring this one out soon.

I love this song. Definitely one of my all-time favourites. I'll take most any version really, At The Beeb '65, Live '66, the duet with Cash, Hard Rain, Supper Club, the song has spawned some of his greatest ever live performances.

^This...

Never heard anything even remotely comparable to the 2000 performances of this song. They are in a league of their own.

The Hard Rain version is, objectively speaking, the best one ever.

Yeah, I have to go along with this..... this is very much one of my favorites..... and I don't think there is any version that I don't sit up and take notice when it starts..... but I will say that all of Hard Rain is very cool 8)

since I am thinking we are going to get a new set list for this next leg of the tour.....

It sure would be nice if this song got added to the set list!!!!! :D

Yeah, yeah, I know (even better than many) that the Bobster does not take request, but that sure don't keep us from askin'

Me too. Great version that ends with beautiful harmonica. All the more powerful as this song closes out that well sequenced concert.

The 2000 versions are great too. Munster is my fave.

An all time favourite, beautiful in so many versions that narrowing it to one seems almost impossible. I guess if I had to, I'd go for Sheffield 66 but I'd feel terribly guilty towards the Hard Rain version which I also totally adore.

I agree. Several acoustic songs seemed to reach their zenith in '95: this one, Baby Blue, Tambourine Man, Masters of War, It Ain't Me, Babe (specifically in Brighton)...

So many good ones! Stockholm 1998, Munster 2000, Berkeley 1995.. 1995 was a great year for this song, too.

That gum makes an appearance at the beginning of Nashville Skyline...in the opening quite chords/intro of "Girl from the North Country", one can hear old Bob chewin' away. :)

I really like most versions too...i can't remember one I don't like.

66', Cash/Dylan, Times, Hard Rain....
