I have been trying to play Dylan songs on piano, and sadly, my sense of pitch is not very well developed. With the dylanchords site, I was able to get the chords I need to play around with, but I want to figure out the melodies to some of the songs.

Can anyone advise me on a reliable source?

Thanks a lot for your help. Its hard!

Thanks a lot. Hehe.

I'm not asking for bootleg sites, btw, I meant what books have been helpful or reliable for anyone who has used them. I just can't get it by trial and error.

If you need more than the bare chords, the above book isn't very helpful. I have always used the 'The Songs of Bob Dylan From 1966 Through 1975:'

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/039473 ... 65?ie=UTF8

And can recommend it. It might not have all Dylan's songs, but it has for all songs from this period the vocal melody, and for piano the vocal melody with chords on the right hand, and on the left hand mostly the bass line. For me this has worked really well, especially with the more bluesy songs, such as 'Watching the river flow,' where the book provides a quite easy blues rhythm for the left hand, which still sounds good. Hope this helps.

Bumping this very old thread since I am looking for piano sheet music (I realize the chords can be found at DylanChords). Does anyone know of a book that includes more "recent" albums like TOOM or L&T? Or at least something that's very comprehensive? There are a few that feature only specific albums or time periods or "hits." Thanks.

The regular songbooks feature decent piano arrangements:
