Don't want to ruin the fun.

Anyway. For me, this new bob still works. He's still timeless as ever. You can't put a time or place on his music yet it doesn't come from the future with hover cars and lasers.

Not to quote bob himself, but it is important to keep changing in art. Artistic fields tend to be hard to experiment in because they have hard devoted fans. If taco Bell wants to experiment with new food, no one cares, but if Bob wants to change there will be a problem due to fan fare. understandable. But it's still important.

For me, seeing or hearing Bob live still works. The music is right, it gives an experience of a certain emotions, and it still inspires a story in my mind. His voice is a wonderful character, with great layers of characteristic driving this tone forward. And the music is there, and it's different from anyone else s music.

Seeing bob live is great. He doesn't dance around, but he has enough dignity. It's fun to watch bob as a the leader of the band pointing his musicians towards solos or new rhythm, you never know what's going to happen like great jazz. always exciting. I don't need any flash for excitement. I'm there to listen.

There is no other musician who can share great heart and intellect, along with point of view, reality, and hope.

But yeah, anyone can simply come here and say I'm wrong and that will be that, because discussing music is hard. All i can say is that i feel Dylans choices have a point to them, created through thought instead of doing what is catchy.

IMO, Bob doesn't have any reality or hope for you, unless you're pretty deluded. But, again, IMO, of course.
