i still say the release has to be after the cut-off for the new grammy year that is Oct 5 2012. or nearby that, last i looked

wouldn't want to interfere with Paul M's release?, better for Christmas sales, historical bob season, etc.. fall tour sales...

plus those mr.jones guys need to time to roll out their responses - all like prosecuting a case
for Genius huh

Am I right in thinking there was a listening session in New York for MT that multiple select journalists including Mr Jones attended? Hope the fact its been reduced to a solitary audience of one committed Bob Cat isn't a sign that the record company doesn't have as much confidence in it? Mind you, TTS was obviously strong product and the same method seems to have been employed. Fingers crossed...

Album is probably so shit they want to see if Jones spews his guts up first before unleashing it on less arse-licking critics.

Did you ask Mr Jones if it was ok to spill this to the ER asylum, Sean? Rosen might punish Allan by offering it to The Lancet first, instead.

I'll start paying attention to the upcoming Bob album after the Champions League Final.

I never met Mr. Allan Jones  :)
But UNCUT Magazine?? My favorite music magazine! :D I like everything about it and I always found the reviews completely reliable, in my opinion. Gonna pay attention to next months' editions! :D :D

seen Django Django live, they have great potential.

Agreed!
I'll be seeing them a little later on this summer at the No Direction Home Festival - which also features Alabama Shakes, Richard Hawley, The Low Anthem, Veronica Falls and Slow Club.

Good name for a festival - to be sure!

I didn't ask his permission but then again he didn't tell me to say nothin' to no one or anythin' like that.

He's old hat at this by now so I figure he knows what he's doin' by spillin' the beans/tootin' his own horn.

What I wish I would have asked him is whether they had told him what the title of the album was! I reckon though that he woulda told me if he knew...

What's that? Didn't the season end yesterday with ManCity winning the title, QPR staying up and that team owned by the Russian oligarch in 6th place?

Allan Jones always has the scoop on new Dylan albums. He was the first to announce Blue Eyes In The Darkness and Anchor
