If he still had a voice, 'Joey' would be the obvious fit.

So will the actual gala stream online, or just the red carpet thing? :?
In other words, should I stay up to see Bob?

Given that the thing is televised and there will be a time limit on him, I'm guessing this isn't an option. Unless Dylan does the cut-verses-out-of-song thing like he always seems to do with "Desolation Row." In which case, what's the point? I loathe the cutting of verses almost as much as I do the cutting of myself while I am slicing a bagel.

After the first time NDH was on PBS there was a follow up interview with Martin Scorsese on Charlie Rose. He told of how they came to him and asked him to "give it some shape". They had the interviews done, but didn't know quite how to put it together.... He loved it.... and worked on it as a "side" project because he had another major movie in the works at the time. One of the most interesting things that came out was when Charlie Rose asked him if he had met Dylan..... and the answer at that point was "No, I have not, but I would love to" (don't remember if those are the exact words, but pretty close). So I wonder if he has met him by now.....

yes, but some times that's just what a good bagel needs. presuming the lox isn't too salty without the touch of blood.

i remember reading about a conflict between scorsese and dylan's people during the filming for last waltz. dylan had agreed to a certain number of songs - and his people wanted to cut the filming when he reprised baby let me follow you down. but the the scorsese team came through. maybe there was anger? i think dylan wasn't so into meeting people about that time.
