Is it true that Bob collaborated with Elton John in 1989? I want the unreleased Elton/Dylan songs.

I want recordings of all the unknown songs Clinton Heylin listed in "Behind The Shades".

I'd like to find a copy of the Freewheelin' album with the four different tracks as originally released in Argentina (I think). After that I'd like to find a selection of his EP releases in good condition in a local charity shop.

I'd be happy if he would just get past this Frank fixation...

My grails:
- TOOM Oxnard Sessions
- Masked&Anonymous Sessions
- if they exist: L&T outtakes, alternates and jams

Bob apparently previewed the BOTT songs to anyone who would listen well before he stepped into the studio. My unattainable Holy Grail would be a collection of all those private performances, many of which were said to be quite different from the final product. Almost as unrealistic would be a full record of the Desire club gigs -- At the time, "Isis" was supposedly like "Visions of Johanna". "Abandoned Love" represents the one tape we do have. Imagine the other songs played in such a setting. Mind-blowing!

Yes, I wonder how many people/groups he played these for and how many actually taped these performances.

That seems about right.

I suppose for me, living in the UK, the "Holy Grail" for me would be a trip to the USA to Minnesota and to spend a couple of days in Duluth to see the family home, where he started school, where his father worked, etc. Then moving on to Hibbing to see the connections there. I suppose it's more of a sentimental journey, just like going to Graceland, but I think it would be nice to see in person what his background was really like. There's only so much you can get from reading books and watching documentaries.

I looked all over for this. St Paul and Broomfield were the only two gems of 2017, with St Paul now being a HG.

First day of the MTV Unplugged Rehearsals. Both Video & Audio.

AFAIK only the 2nd day exists. IIRC, Bob got yelled at for playing a set of not his own songs.

After reading Heylin's Trouble in Mind, my holy grail is yet another version of Caribbean Wind: the final take from the session that produced the Genuine Bootleg Series version of the song.

A Box Set of music at a reasonable price that all the fans can afford.

That and tickets that are not VIP rip off.

For me it's Christ's chalice from the Last Supper, which Joseph of Arimathea used to receive the blood of Christ on the cross, and which only the purest of knights can hope to find. But I'm not especially pure, so I guess I'd settle for a complete band take of "She's Your Lover Now."

one star would do for now, namely "That Lucky Old Sun" performed that night

[aka the best cover song imho since he performed the same song at the first show in 2016]
