I was a haunter of such places when I was in the UK. Now I just get everything from amazon marketplace.

Poor old Clinton. Can't say I'm surprised about the remainder stock of Revolution in the Air. Contrary to popular belief, it wasn't Clive James who wrote The Book of My Enemy. It was a collaborative effort by several leading Dylan scholars, I'm told.

The book of my enemy has been remaindered
And I am pleased.
In vast quantities it has been remaindered
Like a van-load of counterfeit that has been seized
And sits in piles in a police warehouse,
My enemy's much-prized effort sits in piles
In the kind of bookshop where remaindering occurs.

Not Dylan specific unless you make it so (as I did), but there's a 10% discount on all orders at http://www.bookdepository.co.uk/ until mid-May. They often have better prices than amazon to begin with, you get world wide free shipping, so this is a good offer. No, I don't work for them. I pre-ordered four Dylan books that will be published in late summer that way since I'd buy them anyway. They stock pricy stuff like Bob's art books too, so this might be a good time for them. Have fun! :)

A good book for less than 6 bucks (shipping included):

I think I paid over $20 for mine when it was new.

Clinton Heylin's Revolution in the Air and Still on the Road are now £4.00 each in branches HMV, as is the disappointing Mammoth Book of Bob Dylan.

Just received an email from eBay with this listing of Love and Theft. Only a couple hours left to bid. I'm having trouble viewing the entire listing from my phone, but it appears to be an original pressing? I was blessed enough to get a copy via a friend earlier this week.

You mean The Rough Guide? If so, I have it. I thought it was a good read. I've lent it out a few times for people who where just starting to listen to Bob.

That interview book you bought is a good score. I think I paid about 25 bucks when it first came out.

There's an updated version of the Rough Guide, with a Blonde cover shot outtake, just fyi.

Thanks BABF :)

I also saw your post in the book thread and am thinking about one or the other. I have Watching the River Flow so I may go for the Paul Williams book.

Yeah, my book is updated with a different cover (not blonde) but I figued for someone strapped for cash - $3.00 for a decent hardcover Bob book is good. I don't think much more was added to the newer version anyway.

I edited my post (surprise, surprise) in that thread and added the 2 other companion books to the series. Those books were fairly pricey when they came out, I think. Nowhere near what they're going for on ebay.

It's out in hardcover? According to http://michel.pomarede.pagesperso-orang ... /books.htm , there are just these two covers:

In the Works, a chain of of cheap book/gift shops I noticed this large format book in a slipcase. Lots of photos and facsimile memorablia. Reduced from £25.00 to £10.00

Also there, the new expanded edition Robert Shelton's No Direction Home reduced from £20.00 to £9.99.
