Do we know when these will be available? I apologize if I am late coming to the party, but what songs did he record?

Christmas in the Heart is a family favorite here and I am excited about anything new!

If there were new Dylan Christmas recordings on the way, we wouldn't be hearing about them now. :(

Id be pretty surprised if Bob would ever do another christmas album , but who knows it was a huge surprise when he did it anyway and maybe there are other takes that would turn up on a Bootleg series.

Rumors have persisted that there were other songs from the Christmas In the Heart sessions... so whether these are songs from those sessions or perhaps he went back in to record some additional songs because it was so much fun... who knows? One thing for certain, if its true, it is an answer to prayer and a gift from God.

Christmas In the Heart is easily among Bob's best four or five albums so another album to sit along side albums of that magnitude is always a good thing.

April 1st is when Duke Rollibard assumes duties on guitar... which will be eagerly anticipated by many. The question remains, who, if anyone, will be leaving.

One has to wonder if there two albums worth of Christmas material will Bob consider doing a Christmas show... even a series of Christmas shows similar to the Brian Setzer Orchestra Christmas Extravaganza.

I would gladly attend one. Better yet, have it nationally televised. What a sweet gift!

He wrote all those in just seven days? Impressive!!!

Where is this idea of more material coming from? Is this a news item, legitimate rumor or just wishful thinking?

It's with Leonard Lowen and Tom Waits so it won't be as bad. Being released in August. I had a topic/discussion last month on it.

New rule: Every year Dylan doesn't record a new album, an installment in the CITH Series must be released.

I'd love to hear him record some of the more obscure tracks from Theme Time's Xmas show. Oh, and "You're A Mean One, Mr. Grinch", obviously.

Oh how I hope someone in a position of decision making will read this and follow this request!!! Oh delight of delights, could our hearts ever know more joy than with having more songs from Christmas In the Heart released...

And the real reason for my repsonse...

An embarrassment to me personally, this is, but after reading your post it occurred to me that by some inexcusable oversight I have failed to do my part in reminding the Expecting Rain community of the valued insights and observations given freely. You, Warren Peace, have shared generously of your wit, wisdom, and thought provoking musings throughout the very wide array of topics that are a part of this forum, making this site and community a better informed and more enjoyable place and for that you are hereby recognized as today's recipient of the Untrodden Path Hero of the Day Award. Long overdue this award is and with deep humility we remain appreciative and indebted to you for sharing so freely and opening our minds to understandings and ideas. I beg your forgiveness for my oversight and offer a heartfelt "Thank you!" for being a part of this community.

Blessings and best wishes... :D
