here's my dream setlist; drastically shortened from its original length to fit into the realistic eighteen song set. it does (and will continue to) vary from day to day, but not too much. also keeping in mind that it isn't '66 or '75. we're talking current-day bob here. any one else have a dream show that fits in with the modern band?

Watching the river flow

Mississippi

Lonesome day blues

If you ever go to houston

Tell me that it isn’t true

Trying to get to heaven

Masters of war

Sign on the window

No time to think

Fourth time around

Romance in durango

Make you feel my love

I feel a change comin on

Someday baby (TTS version)

Shelter from the storm

(encore)

Saved

Shake shake mama

I shall be released

If Bob were to play this setlist, there's a pretty good chance you would win the competition at the dylanpool without entering any other shows...

By the way, I'd go to that show if I knew it ahead of time and if not, I would be downloading as soon as it became available!

I do wish he'd play Dirt Road Blues and Under Your Spell.

Maybe the night after he play's your setlist. It would get people talking...

well I like your choice but I think ther are too many slow songs...what about songs like "Cold Irons Bound"? and maybe a Johnny cash tune: Folsom Prison Blues/Big River or Train of Live mybe san quentin or cocaine blues?

my wish: Jakob dylan joins bob on stage for an acoustic version of "Father and Son"! ---- look at me I'm old, but I'm happy, once I was like you" and then jakob joins in.....

Van Morrison, Lou Reed, Neil Young and Los Lobos have performed entire albums at their concerts. I'd like to see Dylan do that with "Street Legal." There are things he and his road band could do with those songs that wasn't done in 1978.

1. "Changing of the Guards"
2. "New Pony"
3. "No Time to Think"
4. "Baby, Stop Crying"
5. "Is Your Love in Vain?"
6. "Señor"
7. "True Love Tends to Forget"
8. "We Better Talk This Over"
9. "Where Are You Tonight?"

(intermission)

10. "It's All Good"
11. "Sad-Eyed Lady of the Lowlands"
12. "Series of Dreams"
13. "Positively Van Gogh" (from 1966)
14. "Isis"

(encores)

15. "When He Returns" (Dylan center stage on harp!)
16. "Tangled Up in Blue"

I wish he'd do a kind of stripped-down acoustic set like the one at the white house earlier this year. So, considering that:

Gotta Serve Somebody
Song To Woody
I Shall Be Free
Mama, You Been On My Mind
Up To Me
I'll Keep It With Mine
Jokerman (yup, acoustic)
Tombstone Blues
I'm Not There
Step It Up And Go
Most Of The Time
Dark Eyes
Like A Rolling Stone

--------
then, for the crazy-dramatic last song of his last concert ever:

Lay Down Your Weary Tune

I'm going to try to be realistic and, since I'm going to see Bob two times in the next 10 days, I'll take the actual setlists he is playing and choose the ideal from it, not introducing any new song and playing them in a place in the setlist he has already done in this leg of tour. What I would like him to play to hear some songs live I've never heard or that I like very much.

1. Leopard skin pill-box hat
2. Señor
3. Just like Tom Thumb's blues
4. Just like a woman
5. Beyond here lies nothin' (please!)
6. Shelter from teh storm
7. High water
8. What good am I? or Man in the long black coat (can't decide)
9. Cold irons bound (please!)
10. Forgetful heart
11. Highway 61
12. I feel a change comin' on (please!)
13. Thunder on the mountain (no option :? )
14. Ballad of a thin man

15. Like a rolling stone
16. Jolene
17. Forever young
