@ 4:50 he rocks the Jesus look again, don't think I've ever seen a pic of that moment, though.

He had that look down in those years. He should have starred in a movie.

No Money Down (vocals: Larry Keegan sax: Bob Dylan) (10/19/81 Merrilville) - Yes, you read right, Bob on sax. The occasion was a disabled friend from childhood Larry Keegan taking vocals, leaving Bob to experiment with an instrument he's probably never picked up before.
For a gimmick, he does decently well on the generic blues riff between the lines. Everything else...well, what you'd expect. Oh yeah, and it's a Chuck Berry song.

Thanks so much for this picture, Blue! It is so odd to me that you should post it today. I was just reading somethings about Bob and his friend Larry last night and today.

So much for Bob not being open to other people's feelings. From what is known, he is very loyal to real friends, who didn't get hung up on his being Bob Dylan.

And this is EXACTLY what doomed and I were talking about earlier. They were friends from boyhood Jewish camp, through his accident where Bob would play songs for him at his bedside for days on in, and apparently still very close up until his death.

Just because it's not out in public doesn't mean it doesn't exist. That's especially true in Bob's case, the best example known to us now being his second marriage.

The other thing is that the people who are really close to him will not talk about him publicly, other than those who are no longer connected to him and release their disappointment publicly, so we're more likely to hear about the latter.

Similar to the fact that approximately 90% of an iceberg is hidden from view, we also know very little about Bob. Good for him. Privacy is precious. Let him have it.
