if you keep singing Dylan songs to your wife like that, next song you will sing will be "If you see her say hello"... :P

She doesn't like that one either. I sang the 2004 version to her...

If she passes back this way,
Lord, I sure hope she don't.
Tell her, she can look me up
I'll either be here or I won't!

She's questioning my commitment to our relationship. And we're at 23 years of marriage...what's with that?

Another song she really doesn't like...Don't Think Twice, It's Alright. Doesn't hear the beauty in it at all.

No problem if she doesn't like it... I meant you will sing it alone.

Doesn't she like "Don't think twice"? Why?

I sing alone most of the time anyway.

The message of Don't Think Twice is one of leaving or parting company but I don't think that's the issue as much as it is Dylan. Not only does she not get him, she doesn't want to get him. She feigned interest when we were dating but that all went out the window during the first Dylan concert we went to. She nearly fell asleep, said she was bored, and complained she couldn't understand a word. (That was 23 years ago, about a month after we were married. She still hasn't had her hearing checked! )

and doesn't she even think Bob's hot? Tell her about Bob that way... she will suspect you, if she already doesn't

It is so strange isn't it? When a woman has great taste in music but lousy taste in men?

While referencing me, your comment would actually spark some interest from Bob, I'm sure.

Aint you the guy who said you serenaded your girlfriend with those particular songs when you first got together because you 'knew it wasn't going anywhere'?

Maybe take a stab in the dark mate.

Yes, one and the same. I was sure it would never go anywhere. Now 23 years later...well, what can I say? She doesn't like them anymore now than she did then. For some people, Bob grows on them but I don't think its going to happen with her.

Unfortunately, she closes out songs like When the Deal Goes Down too. I told her it would bring tears to her eyes but considering that It Ain't Me, Babe brought tears to her eyes, she doesn't think that's necessarily a good thing. :?

Play the guitar, the keyboard, the grand piano, the harp once again.

Kill the set, please.

I wouldn´t even be able to pathetically mumble something while blushing and scratching my neck. Anybody whom I admire I put on a pedestal and feel tiny and insignificant next to them. And there´s no one I admire more (artistically) than Bob

Hey Bob, your music's got so boring lately, the nutters on your only remaining internet fan forum have resorted to dragging up threads from 8 years ago. Sort it out mate.

I really don't know if I could pick up the courage but I love to imagine how I'd just hug him and stutter "Thank you thank you so much for everything" until his bodyguards pull me away kicking and screaming...
.
Oh God imagine the stare Bob would give us

Given the fact that he's written songs about Boxers, and the story that I saw on ER where he'd given a Boxer a free ticket to his show, I'd try to strike up a conversation with him about Boxing.

I'd only try to engage him in conversation if the situation seemed to call for it though. If he was out and about doing his own thing with friends and family I wouldn't bother him.

The few times I've ever talked to people that were famous (at least to me) I noticed they were just standing around not doing anything so it seemed like a fair enough time to introduce myself. Worked out well in both instances.
