In this month's copy of Word magazine, they have an interesting article on album covers designed using MS Paint - its all part of this blog's attempt to collect homegrown art:

http://www.paintmyalbum.net/

I've sent them my quick effort below - you might wanna do the same if you get a spare minute and fancy a fun challenge.....

Wicked! Gonna get started right away. I have no paint skills at all, so it should be great fun.

Nice effort by the way!

Anyone else hoping this thread was about the importance of art-therapy for Multiple Sclerosis sufferers?

Why, are you an art-therapist looking for work to support your dog-food habit? 8)

My Blonde on Blonde is actually getting on way better than I thought. But that scarf is still killing me.

I did it with an image of the original cover next to it. But I'm redoing the background at the moment. Found out a way to get better colors. But as a consequence I'll have to re-do part of his hair too

Thats fantastic! It can be a time consuming when you get into it eh? Quite meditative though, I find.

Yeah you get it with Vista. Point is to use a basic art program that doesnt come with all the fancy crap you get with Photoshop etc - its an entry level that encourages creativity. Get with it dog.

That would involve me buying a PC. The very thought sickens me. I run PS CS3 on my MBP, and have no intention of downgrading.

But in the spirit of the thread, I present this quickie effort from last year:
