Not seen Bob as many times as many of the folks here, but I'm grateful for every single one.

First was the Phoenix Festival (Long Marsten Airfield) in around 1994

Second, third and fourth were all at the wonderful NEC in Birmingham in 1999, 2000 and 2002 respectively.

Had a bit of a financially enforced hiatus after that, although I would have gone to the show at the o2 London had work not conspired against me

More recently, I was at Feis and Hammersmith (second night) last year and I braved the delights of the Hop Farm Festival just over a month ago.

I'd like to add another poster to the wall before the year is out, but I can't see the tour returning to European shores much before summer 2013.

Like a lot of Brits I suppose, my first chance to see Bob was in 1978. Apart from the Isle of Wight he hadn't played in the UK since 1966, so it was really the Earl's Court concerts that gave us the chance to see him.
I have to admit, it was a bit of an anti-climax because it was well...Bob..but I saw better later.

I keep a list handy with links to the setlists at boblinks.com. I should probably download those setlists, since nothing on the web lasts forever.

11/8/2002 - Pittsburgh, PA - I listened to all his old records (i.e. Blood on the Tracks, Freewheeling, etc) before this one. Not a good primer for latter-day Dylan.

9/3/2006 - State College, PA - He played Forever Young at this one. I was standing a few feet from the stage - great show.

11/17/2006 - Fairfax, VA - He played Señor at this one. Fantastic.

6/24/2007 - Hershey, PA - This was a hot day, but it wasn't a bad set at all.

10/11/2007 - Pittsburgh, PA - Great show, from row C! With Elvis Costello solo.

7/13/2009 - Washington, PA - Good show, was real close to the stage, & finally got to see Willie Nelson!

11/2/2010 - Akron, OH - This Wheel's on Fire! Great show, seats were really close to the stage, the band was on fire, and the crowd was really into it. First show I'd seen (since really getting into Dylan) with Charlie Sexton playing in the band, this was a great one.

11/9/2010 - State College, PA -The Bryce Jordan Center was done up in a really off-putting way for this show. But after having seen him at his best 7 days before, and knowing that I'd missed Blind Willie McTell in Pittsburgh 2 days before this show, there was no way this was going to live up to expectations.

8/29/2012 - Johnstown, PA - Saving Grace! Blind Willie McTell! This was perhaps the best I've seen yet. Dylan and his band were sharp, they seemed to be having a lot of fun, and the setlist was fantastic. Saving Grace in the six spot was fantastic, and then 6 songs later, finally, after years of waiting to hear it live, he played Blind Willie McTell.

I've seen 136 shows. 160 different songs. First show was LA Forum, Feb 14, 1974, worst seat in the house. Saw one other in the 70s, one of the Universal Amphitheater shows in 1978, not sure which one. Got turned off by Slow Train and the Christian songs, abandoned him out West for over ten years returning to the Dylan fold in 1992. Saw most of my shows in the late 90s and the early part of this millenium, mainly in California and Nevada. Rarest songs I've heard in concert are Highlands and Delia. Although I've never been disappointed by a Dylan concert, my favorite shows were the first one, the next one, the entire El Rey Theater run in 1997 (traded a few tickets with Paul Williams so we would each have tix for all the shows), some of the Amsterdam/London shows November, 2003, and Tokyo March 22 and 23, 2010. Buenos Aires 2008 was very cool, more for the audience vibe and opening acts than for Zimmy's show. Most recent show was the Hollywood Bowl, front row center, two weeks ago. Still takes me on a trip upon his magic swirling ship...
