I heard Change Comin' On live at the WaMu in Seattle. It was ridiculous. Charlie was so pumped. The solo he played was out of this world.

So far I've only seen Dylan live twice, always in Florence.
In 2009 he was much more static than last year and he performed most songs at the keyboard. In 2011 he was much more lively and he moved around a lot. Even when he was at the keyboard he moved his head and legs all the times, he was sort of dancing for the whole concert. He also did a lot of songs only singing and playing the harmonica with the band backing him up, and I really loved those moments. He also seemed to smile quite a bit, which is something he didn't do in 2009. I was upset by the setlist, which I thought was a bit short (14 songs). In 2011 I had the impression that he kept some lyrics sheets on the keyboard but I'm not 100% sure.

18 April 2009
Maggie's Farm -
Mr. Tambourine Man -
Most Likely You Go Your Way And I'll Go Mine -
Man In The Long Black Coat -
The Lonesome Death Of Hattie Carroll -
'Til I Fell In Love With You -
Workingman's Blues #2 -
Highway 61 Revisited -
Ballad Of Hollis Brown -
Po' Boy -
Summer Days -
Return To Me -
Thunder On The Mountain -
Like A Rolling Stone -
All Along The Watchtower -
Spirit On The Water -
Blowin' In The Wind

Man in the long black coat was the song I loved the most.

11 November 2011 (11/11/11... nice day to see Bobby! :o )
Leopard-Skin Pill-Box Hat -
Girl From The North Country -
Things Have Changed -
Spirit On The Water -
Honest With Me -
Tangled Up In Blue -
The Levee's Gonna Break -
Desolation Row -
Highway 61 Revisited -
Forgetful Heart -
Thunder On The Mountain -
Ballad Of A Thin Man -
All Along The Watchtower -
Like A Rolling Stone

Tangled up in blue and Forgetful heart were the real highlights.

sorry about the late reply, didn't see!

Me and my dad after the show waited outside the Hilton Hotel, cos' we heard someone saying that Bob was staying there, so we thought we may as well go and have a look. He wasn't there, but his band were very kind and welcomed us into the bar. Best day of my life, best Bob show i've been too. I can still see Bob playing the harmonica on Senor. :D
Will try and upload some photos.

those observations are all pretty much spot on for differences between 2009 and 2011

My shows (seems about time to add to this list, I'd say!):

1. September 8, 1988 - Binghamton, NY (Broome County Veterans Memorial Arena) - Steve Forbert opened ... went with my Mom and Dad (I was 16); I still remember the chills I felt when Dylan walked onstage!

2. July 12, 1989 - Allentown, PA (Allentown Fairgrounds) - Steve Earle opened ... went with a buddy who I'd recently turned on to Dylan

3. Aug. 4, 1997 - Lenox, MA (Tanglewood Music Center) - BR549 and Ani DiFranco opened ... went by myself! my favorite of all these shows

4. July 22, 2000 - Mansfield, MA (Tweeter Center for the Performing Arts) - with Phil Lesh & friends ... went with my then-wife ... Bob went on first; we skipped Phil and friends, left without traffic woes, and were home before 11pm!

Hi everyone... new here, but 'old' in discussing Dylan online. I just haven't done it in several years. I guess I needed a break of sorts. Anyway... my memory for concert dates sucks, but I believe I've seen Dylan 4-5 times:

Athens, Greece - June or July 1993
Birmingham, UK - June 1998
Manchester, UK - 2002
Leipzig, Germany - 2007
Athens, Greece - 2010

The Athens 1993 gig was by far the best and most memorable. On top of a hill (open air) in the centre of Athens. The moon on one side of Bob, the lit acropolis on the other. My favourite Greek singer for support. Winston Watson on the drums (he was amazing!).

You were there too? He played two consecutive dates (23rd and 24th of June - or 22nd and 23rd), but I can never remember which one I was at.

Are you also Greek? My dad is from Arcadia actually (Leontari). :-)

my first live show was the True Confessions Tour with Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers. The next one i saw was with Tracy Chapman opening for him. I missed out on the Santana opener..had to eat those tickets but does it count if i wanted to run away and follow the Rolling Thunder Revue?? that was the very first struggle i fought with myself..and well, i regret not doing it now. I missed out on a lot of years being a single mom with 3 kids. Money was so non existent. Now i cant get enough.. of bob..or money. Hahaha!
